i mean, the smoke around Olshey is indicative enough. Not sure we need sauces to confirm that.

I hope Dame's to fucking busy and pissed off at the media to be paying attention to the shit show that this OPB article is going to stir up. It makes the franchise look so fucking stupid.

Ainge has been horrible in Boston, and now he's been booted.

He wasn't horrible in Boston, he won a Championship. But his leadership started to get stale. Plus he's had health issues, most likely caused by the pressures of the job, and his own competitive nature. Not sure he needs basketball anymore, other than as a fan.

He was handed a large number of very high draft picks, and accomplished almost nothing. He's had Kyrie and other FAs walk for nothing, something Neil has been crucified for. They should have been the best team in the east for years now, and yet they are underachieving.

I like Ainge, he's my generation, and does a good job of representing my state (Oregon) and my generation. I openly root for the guy, and always will. However, he's just not a good GM. He wanted to abuse anyone trading with him by getting the far better end of the deal. It rarely worked out, causing him to "become stagnant," and his franchise to underachieve. I'm very sure that if you were to ask Ainge himself about his GMing, he would say that he'd do things very differently if he had a chance to redo it.

I'm in agreement that he tried to get too cute with the draft collateral . He never seemed to want to pull the trigger on deals either. That's why I think he got stale in Boston. I never was a big Ainge fan during his playing days. I hate the Celtics, and their arsehole fan base. He had that one shining moment in game 2 of the Blazers/Bulls Finals , but his time as a Blazer was mostly meh. I remember seeing highlights of him on Doug Lamear's sportscast during the Oregon H.S. Championships. He was a decent Toronto Bluejay.

He also fast-pitched a basketball to the back of an opponents head when it was clear his team was about to lose (he was inbounding the ball). He denied it was on purpose, and then later recanted. He was definitely not a choir boy in the proverbial sense.

My takeaway: Chris Haynes should never wear shorts.

Another reason i didn't care for him. He was perfect for Boston. He might have been a fellow Oregon Native, but i just didn't dig the way he acted. But i do think he was a good GM early on. I'm not a hater of Neil either, as you probably have noticed. If Neil does resign, i'd like a newer talent to take over. Someone on the rise. And someone who realizes that , you don't trade your generational talent, you work like heck to bring in the talent around him to succeed. Using Jerry West Jedi Mind tricks if you have too.

Danny had his flaws, but as a representative of Oregon, he is certainly an improvement over Tonya Harding!

That being said, I'm excited about the Ime/Stoudamire/Aaron Miles combo repping Oregon.
