Probably need to add a protected first but yeah. He showed some nice playmaking ability last year.

Wrong direction for Chicago though unless they are blowing it up.

Of course this is all assuming a deal is made between our teams. But one trade makes this team dynamic defensively, and the other, dynamic offensively.
Poor ol' Presti. Dude's a whack job if it's true, he really thinks Shai Gilgeous-Alexander doesn't fit their time window. How 'bout get some players that fit his.

That's what I was thinking. I for some reason get Thad Young and Matisse Thybule confused at times. Didn't Young play for the Sixers during the early stages of "The Process"?

    my thoughts?
    Osman retired.
richardson has a player option. hasn't met expectations in Dallas. needs the ball to be effective and a very underwhelming 3pt shooter.
melton ain't going anywhere, is one of the very highest value contracts in the league and jones is the opposite and our own future pics? only for a true needle mover trade IMHO. if we acquire one in a separate trade perhaps.
IMHO, the only value in prince is as a 3p shooter. Inconsistent at best defensively, poor historically and a poor rebounder at PF as well.
Ross will make it an additional 3 mill towards tax payments for only an small up grade for a player who is inconsistent from 3p range. either on or off most nights, and not a good defender.

from the list Nance,jr would be the very best fit and insurance for injuries, a swithchable small ball 5/4, that moves the ball and shoots well enough from the 3 to garner defensive attention. was rumored to be available at the deadline for cap relief and a first. Not sure where they are at in their thinking now, though sexton appears available so they won't have to shell out a big contract. he comes with his own injury/availability issues in recent seasons.
wright would be a good fit IMHO too but not enough minutes available at the 1/2 to justify unless Ant moves in another trade.
Jordan was one of KD and kyrie banana boat guys so i don't see it. was one of the original "big 3" in brooklynn.
Satoransky for the same reasons as Wright.
Favors was resigned with Utah after NO and solid in their rotation. think he is important to their organization and DJJ can't fill his purpose.

Or maybe it was just a mercy to SGA not to be on a team that isn't really a team but just a holding pen for draft picks and other teams' rejects.

Got to wonder how long OKC fans keep buying tickets at this rate. What am I saying? What else is there to do in OKC (besides a rodeo or two)?

Agreed that Nance would be the best option. Satoransky would be second, IMO, in that he has the skills to backup PG but the size to play the 3, and would fit nicely in a reserve role alongside Ant and Nas. Also, I've wanted him here for years...

It certainly sounds like Norman Powell re-signing with the Blazers is a foregone conclusion. None of the teams with capspace have been linked to Powell, even though they've seemingly been linked to every other free agent guard on the market.

    https://bleacherreport.com/articles...mmons-bradley-beal-andshai-gilgeous-alexander

Lots of stuff to digest here:

SGA is available but for a large price.
OKC trying to trade 16 and 18 for 11
OKC trying to trade for 4
    Beal still waiting
Raptors have traction on Simmons deal, barring Dame asking out
New Orleans wants Lowry, if not then Dinwiddie
    Sacramento interested in moving 9
Indiana and SAS interested in moving 12 and 13 to move back into the 20s
Dallas looking at Josh Richardson deals
Houston and NYK trying to move up into the lottery with two picks
Nets trying to move up from 27 using Shamet
    Indiana making Aaron Holiday available
Utah trying to get some team to eat Favors contract using No. 30

Jake Fischer actually reported the Bledsoe + 10th for 17th scenario a few days ago, and then it happened. No one seems to have any Blazers rumors though, maybe because we aren't doing anything.

The New York Post reported two months ago and five days ago that Thibs wants Powell. They can offer him just as much as us, they can assure him he'll be defending guards and they can assure him more touches than he'd get with Dame and CJ. I don't know how they could do it but Dallas reportedly wants him. He's one of the best free agents in this class... especially one of the best two way players. It's anything but a foregone conclusion from what I've read.

Recent intel in the last two days have New York firmly targeting Lowry, Dinwiddie, Fournier. And the Mavs have always been reported to have THJ as their #1 priority, even though they've also been linked to Lowry and Dragic in the last few days.

These things take time to develop, so I wouldn't be surprised if Powell has made his decision already, prompting other teams to look elsewhere. At the very least, I doubt he's a plan A for any team besides the Blazers. More like a plan D.

I don't believe you can gauge much of anything based upon the tsunami of rumors and speculation right now. Teams aren't leaking their intentions, they are leaking deflections about themselves and bullshit about other teams. And agents are working overtime to prop up their clients and cast doubt on the options of others

Woj and Lowe had it in their predraft show on Sunday too. Woj said NO was trying to shed Bledsoe's and Adams' contract to create capspace in pursuit of Lowry, and were using their 10th pick as incentive.

As far as I can tell, both had it on the same day, but Fischer actually had it first (or at least reported it first). His story was posted at 8:17AM
