I bet CJ will/would be much more efficient in Philadelphia than he was here. I also think he will be more efficient without Stotts.
I think he will get better shots, higher quality shots, and more open looks.
I think part of the annoyance with CJ is based on how Stotts routinely relied on Dame and CJ to bail the offense out and go ISO mode. I get it “Me-J” but part of that is our offense. Which means blame Stotts.
This is also why I thought Stotts should be fired years ago. Our team has 9 years of HORRIBLE habits they’ve built. Gonna be hard to change it now. Years ago we could’ve shaped CJ into a different player. So yeah, fuçk Stotts and Olshey for keeping him.
These are some things Billups briefly addressed.

Also it’s kind of funny how Philly could’ve had Harden for Simmons and now they’ll be lucky (if they trade him) to get a bucket of peanuts (in comparison.)

To me it seemed Milwaukee played more as a team with good ball movement and post ups. When GA comes back they need to keep Lopez down low and cutting to the hoop as he did much last night, versus hanging around the 3 point line.

Has there been any kind of substantiated rumors about who Billups wants on his staff?

Yeah I think it’s a no brainer if we can get Simmons for CJ I’d take that deal. People seem to forget how bad Jason Kidd was shooting the ball, but he did everything else great and learned to shoot later in his career. Don’t be fooled by a young guy struggling in playoffs that’s all confidence. He instantly makes us better defensive team, offensively he makes the game easier for teammates and rebounds like a big.

The only thing that keeps popping up on my internet feed is LaMarcus Aldridge saying he would be open to coming back here as a coach. I hope Billups isn't going to bring "La Softy" back here? Seriously if you want to coach defense and toughness you don't want Aldridge anywhere near the team.

Wrong former Blazers star PF, IMO. I'd love to have Sheed back as an assistant coach. You know players would be held accountable! And with his low post skill set, we might actually have some big man coaching for the first time in 10 years.

Sheed just took a job as a high school coach in Carolina, I don't think he is interested.

Bring in Rasheed, Ben & Hamilton ....surround the team with World Champion coaches. The Train would work too.

Right, because no one has ever considered leaving a HS job for a NBA gig... With a former teammate, no less.

that was more than a shove! Could have really hurt Paul’s neck and eliminated him from the Finals. I would have been happier with a 5-game suspension for that bullshit move

…….now that being said, what does it take to get that psycho on our team!? And thank goodness he’ll just miss the first game of the season!

I remember HATING Danny Ainge - until he was a Blazer ;)

I think it should have been more games. This was a cheap shot that wasn’t during game play and who knows if Paul has some residual effects from it. His head snapped back violently and sometimes that takes a few days for the soreness to kick in.
