It’s not hard to blame him for this at all. We had an opportunity to go after one of top 5 wings in the league and all we could have done was to tell Indiana that we will give them some mediocre picks and a bad contract. We didn’t even make Nurkic available in that trade because he was a part of the “big 3” that never existed.

Yes, he could have left a year later but that was the only reason why he was available. If we had offered CJ we would have at least had a fair chance. Instead we were trying to get them to take Crabbe or Turner?

The offer of Oladipo and Sabonis wasn’t that hard to compete with at the time. We were trying to get a dollar for ten cents though.

He’s not even a dark horse. Last year he was an MVP favorite after 2 months of season, he dropped off in the second half when the whole team looked disjointed. I think he will thrive under Bud who is trying to surround him with shooters. I also think Ilyasova and Brook Lopez will fit in greatly next to Giannis.

I believe ‘Bron’s Son is going into the 8th grade. I’m quite sure he will grow.

Why is Lebron trying to make me dislike him?

I can't stand when people say that a player will improve his legacy by winning a title with the Lakers in basketball or the Yankees in baseball. You just become one of many to accomplish that feat. Dirk's title with the Mavs is way more impressive than any title the Lakers have ever won. Same with LeBron's title in Cleveland.

Yeah, "I want to help a franchise/city win their first (or second) championship" sounds much more impressive than helping them win their 17th. It's only been 8 years (quite a while, my ass!) since the Lakers won their last championship and their entitled fans (the few that haven't jumped on the Warrior's bandwagon) act like they are some long suffering, snake-bitten franchise.

I never had a problem with Lebron.

    Until he joined the Lakers.

Now it's a moral imperative to dislike him.

It's not the only reason why though. It's about much more than basketball. Which is why I'll still be a LeBron fan even though he's in LA.

I respect Lebron, though I guess I don’t see him as much of a leader (this could be the white person talking). I think he tries to do really good things, he’s vocal on his opinions for better or worse, but I can’t cheer for the Lakers to win games.
I’ll always have respect for Lebron the basketball player, Lebron the dad, and Lebron the man (at least the persona that we the public get to see). Not going to like him wearing that Laker Jersey...

All that said, he does a lot for his communities, he definitely learned from the decision thing (and even that at least that money went to the b&gc).

I never said I would cheer for LA or even LeBron. I'm just not going to hate LeBron the person.

If he wanted to be considered the GOAT he would've come to Portland (or Milwaukee or Charlotte or...) and won one (t)here. That storyline would've made him a Legend with a capital L.

Same can literally be said about any other small market team. He could have gone to Milwaukee, Indiana, Utah, Denver or New Orleans too. At some of them he would have a better shot at the championship than here too.

This is going to be incredibly unpopular but I absolutely hate watching Giannis play. I acknowledge the guy is really good just something about his game always annoys me. Of course if he was a Blazer I’d figure out how to like it.

Wow, I’d have to disagree with you. He is probably one of my FAVORITES to watch. He is so amazing to watch on the defensive end, his instincts. He has court vision as well that surprises me. I believe he is the future of the league.

Fair enough - I know it’s unpopular- Just not a fan. He might be the future of the NBA.

It looks as if he's an actual man playing against actual boys half the time. That being said, oh lord do they let him travel. Wow. Because of the traveling I find myself despising him occasionally.
