I can see that. Also, how about a better passing Steve Smith? Smitty was alot skinner, but him and B-Roy do come to mind.

You do: Hassan Whiteside. Russ doesnt have a positive impact on his teams rebounding, so those numbers are completely arbitrary and chased.

Style wise I find him similar to Joe Ingles. Obviously way more skilled though.

So Whiteside chasing down rebounds is good and Russ doing the same is bad?

Because I like you, I will let this pass. Only because you live on an island full of criminals, and I'm cool with Patty Mills.

I see that a little bit, but Roy was capable of being very explosive...he just picked his spots. I haven't seen the same change of pace from Doncic, but maybe I just haven't seen enough.

If you are right, though, Doncic better stay healthy, otherwise your comparison validates my theory that the league will figure him out. Once Roy's knees were shot and he lost the subtle fakes, his pocket was getting picked left and right.

Dallas is so lucky to have this kid. Why can’t we have generational talents like this

and before people get defensive: 1) I'm just playing around...2) yeah, I know every other team has their failures and successes. It's just that Portland's successes are mostly moderate while many of their failures are spectacular....3) yeah, injuries, like shit, happen

Cool list. Don't think I've ever seen so detailed before. Just bits and pieces here and there. Just IMHO- Bowie was a great choice. Clyde and Jordan together, would never have worked....

Drafting Dame #6 AFTER MKG/Waiters/Thomas Robinson is not an example of "moderate success," especially considering how that pick was obtained.

Odd that @wizenheimer did not give that a shoutout considering Dame will end up being the best Blazer ever?

    How about drafting Drexler 14th?

as I said, I was playing around in response to a post asking about why Portland couldn't get generational talent. I said 'don't get defensive' because I knew some would want to defend Blazer honor. For certain, it's only one side of the coin....although a side that has Larue Martin instead of McAdoo and Dr J; Bowie instead of MJ and Barkely; and Oden instead of Durant is extremely top heavy and unlikely to be offset from anything on the other side. You can add CJ instead of Giannis to that side of the coin too

    also:

20 POR Jan van Breda Kolff 22 WSB Truck Robinson 25 ATL John Drew 40 PHO George Gervin
10 POR Ronnie Lester 11 DAL Kiki Vandeweghe 17 DET Larry Drew

now, for the other side of the coin so Blazer honor is somewhat restored:

2 IND Steve Stipanovich 6 GSW Russell Cross 8 DET Antoine Carr 13 KCK Ennis Whatley 14 POR Clyde Drexler

a bunch of busts 46 POR Jerome Kersey

5 ATL Jon Koncak 6 SAC Joe Kleine 11 CHI Keith Lee 12 WSB 14 SAS Alfredrick Hughes 17 DAL Uwe Blab 19 HOU Steve Harris 24 POR Terry Porter

a bunch of busts 60 POR Dražen Petrović
a bunch of busts 36 POR Clifford Robinson

1 TOR Andrea Bargnani 2 CHI LaMarcus Aldridge 3 CHA Adam Morrison 4 POR Tyrus Thomas 5 ATL Shelden Williams 6 MIN Brandon Roy 7 BOS Randy Foye

2 CHA Michael Kidd-Gilchrist WAS 4 CLE Dion Waiters 5 SAC Thomas Robinson 6 POR Damian Lillard

The only thing that Ingles and Doncic have in common is their skin color.

Doncic is a hundred times better than Brandon Roy was. Doncic is a Top 3 player in the league. Roy never was.

Man what’s wrong with the Spurs? It’s not like they have injuries or something? They have the same team that made the playoffs last year.
