Well, you are in Wyoming, a place where even Liz Cheney is too damn lib'rul.

Nah. We are quite willing to call out our own when they deserve it. Lots of people here think Biden is doing all the wrong things w.r.t. Gaza.
No one would dream of defending Bob Menendez. Etc.

    That's correct.

Or maybe it's when you start saying things that don't make sense. The opposite of 'establishment' isn't 'nonsense'.

    Thanks for sharing.

Semantics. If American citizens died in defense of this country or another, it's a war, plain and simple. We encroached on Grenade, regardless of reason. Americans died. I guess I'm not sure what your point was supposed to be, but Republicans don't get a pass because Grenadians were didn't fight. The people (mainly Cubans) who caused us to be there certainly fought (badly or otherwise). We engaged in an act of aggression. Close enough to be called a war......

Or if, say, Biden had gotten a BJ in the oval office...

Former head of the SDNY, Preet Bharara, has a pretty good podcast. His most recent podcast covers the verdict and him and his guests go over which of the many appeals have the greatest chance of succeeding.

A Manhattan jury convicted former President Donald Trump of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. The guilty verdict marks the first time in U.S. history that a former president has been found guilty of a crime, and it also makes Trump the first presidential candidate to run as a convicted felon.

On a special episode of Stay Tuned, Preet is joined by his CAFE Insider co-host and former U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama Joyce Vance, CAFE Contributor and CNN senior legal analyst Elie Honig, and Westchester County District Attorney Mimi Rocah.

They discuss the historic verdict, reflect on the trial, and look ahead to sentencing and appeal arguments.

Most definitely not giving Republicans or Reagan a pass. Just that to me a war means two sides fighting.
Average age of Cuban volunteers was over 50. They really weren't soldiers. Off topic, but something I had involvement in including personal contacts.

Has he? He was doing business in NY for 40+ years and never had charges filed against him, now suddenly he's being dogpiled with nonsense.

Please sit there and tell me this is not political. Paying someone money for an NDA isn't even a crime. If it were a campaign reporting crime, that's under the jurisdiction of the FEC who looked at this and said it wasn't an issue. The funds have to be objectively for a campaign thing like a rally or mailings etc.

This would be like if Michele Obama got a boob job right in South Carolina before the 2028 election and gone prosecuted by the DA of South Carolina for felonies for not reporting it as being for her campainge.

Just so fucking fucking stupid. And you lemmings clap for it.

    Yes he has.

Whatever you need, I'm here for you: This is not political.

How do you explain Michael Cohen going to jail if no crime was committed?

Great analogy. Yes, if there was evidence that she got a boob job to influence the election, and didn't report it as a campaign contribution, and further reported it as legal expense of her business in South Carolina, then she could and should be prosecuted.

Does South Carolina have evidence she did any of those things? It does not, because she's not a stupid fucking criminal like Donald Trump.

Trump Denies Ever Saying 'Lock Her Up.'

In an interview on Fox & Friends, filmed 48 hours after he was convicted on 34 counts of falsifying business records, Donald Trump attempted to re-write history. Now that he is facing legal consequences for paying hush money to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, the former president is denying he ever said, “Lock her up,” about Hillary Clinton, his 2016 opponent.
“You famously said regarding Hillary Clinton, ‘Lock her up.’ You declined to do that as president,” said Fox host Will Cain, implying that the president has control over who is prosecuted.

“I beat her,” Trump replied. “It’s easier when you win. They always said, ‘Lock her up.’ And I could have done it, but I felt it would have been a terrible thing. And then this happened to me, so I may feel differently about it. I can’t tell you, I’m not sure I can answer the question,” Trump hemmed and hawed.

He continued, “Hillary Clinton — I didn’t say, ‘Lock her up,’ but the people would all say, ‘Lock her up, lock her up.’ OK. Then we won, and I said pretty openly, I’d say, ‘Alright, come on, just relax. Let’s go. We gotta make our country great.'”

Convicted felon and sex abuser Trump is not without a friend in the world. Putin, Xi and Orbanz have all expressed support for him. No word yet from Kim Jong Un or the "wonderful person" Hannibal Lecter.

Peter Doocy (autocorrect changed to Idiocy) of Fox "News" tried to gotcha President Biden. First question, will verdict help Trump? Biden: I have no idea. Second question, are you worried the same could happen to you? Biden: not at all, I did nothing wrong. Third question: did you orchestrate this to bring Trump down? Biden: laughing, I wish I was that powerful.

Trump has an Icarus-type problem. Nobody cared too much about his corruption when he was just a real estate sleazebag, or when he was a reality show sleazebag. But he flew too high and his luck ran out. I don't know if his (dead) dad warned him not to, but he should have known that such a bright light would melt his wings.

And that is because there is a great public interest in trying to root out corruption in public office. A simple look at this forum will tell you that. People of all stripes here complain about corrupt politicians, vastly fewer complain about corrupt real estate developers or corrupt TV stars.

And while he's never had a criminal conviction before, he's been found liable for quite a few instances of misconduct in the past. Off the top of my head:
    Trump University fraud
    Trump charity fraud
    Trump Org fraud
    E. Jean Carroll rape/defamation

And then there are all his criminal associates sentenced to prison: Cohen, Manafort, Stone, the coffee boy, Bannon, Navarro, Gates, Weisselberg

But Trump is innocent of all charges - we know this to be true because Trump himself told us that!

I’d rather have someone in office who got along with those countries leaders than one actively trying to start wars with them. Crazy, i know. But alas, i constantly have to remind myself modern liberals ain’t about this “not starting wars ” bullshit.
