Love could very well come to the Bulls

Whether you choose to believe it. Love does want to come to the Bulls and has re-iterated that to Derrick over the past year. The plan was for Love, Rose and Westbrook to all join forces in LA. When it became apparent that Chicago was an option for Love, he stated to Rose, he's more than willing to sign an extension as long as Rose's here and will be here. If that happens, they still plan on recruiting Russell as Noah's contract next contract will be less if he isn't gone. I have this on damn good authority too.

He also said Love really loves the Lakers, however, he sees the Bulls as an opportunity.

    We shall see soon.

Crowley tweeted a hell of a lot during the game last night. He tweeted these before the game, AND, has an article in the Suntimes talking about all of this.

I have never seen him talk this way. At first, before the article was posted, I thought someone had hacked his twitter account.

I actually like this move. I think Meeks would be the best SG we've had since BG.

Meeks could be in play. I would have no problem with him. Similar to several players that now play for the Spurs. He has game.

Sacramento Kings and Chicago Bulls discussed deal involving Carl Landry, Jason Thompson, Ben McLemore, Taj Gibson, Mike Dunleavy and Jimmy Butler a month ago. Chicago Bulls motive behind talks with the Sacramento Kings was about cutting salary, moving up. Not high on players at #16 and #19.

That's 2/5 our starting lineup. 3/5 if Taj really is going to start for us.

McLemore fits nice next to Rose and is effectively a draft pick. I expect he'll improve a lot in Chicago.

I've always liked Thompson because he can play both PF and C quite effectively and is ideally suited for the bench. He's good enough that he ends up starting a lot of games. Last season was his worst. His career per 36 numbers are 13.3/9.4 and 1 block. Taj's are 13.4/9.2 and 2.5 blocks. Taj has a career 15 PER, Thompson a career 14 PER.

Landry was a really good player when he was younger. He got beat out as starter in Sac by Thompson. He has a $6.5M contract, too, that runs for another 3 years.

Sac has a lot of depth at the 4, this is a way to get rid of some of that for them.

I'm not seeing who would be our starting SF in this scenario. The draftee?

So Rudy Gay opted out of his deal with Sacramento. Boozer might actually be a good fit there.

I'd be ok with Rudy if the other names don't pan out.

I actually like this trade. We are cutting costs and not dumping the players for nothing. We would be taking back some talent as well. However, that being said, the team will take some time to gel with all of the new faces added.

    Gery Woelfel @GeryWoelfel

Also told if Cavs won't surrender future No. 1s, Bulls could enter Love Sweepstakes, especially with Mirotic in play.

It seems doubtful considering the Bulls just signed Gasol.

Cavs know it'll cost Wiggins/Bennett/future first to get Love. If Wolves insist on moving Kevin Martin with Love, more pieces must be added

Could be the Bulls making the Cavs pay more if we get involved.

    K.C. Johnson @KCJHoop

Bulls have always stayed abreast of Love talks, which were on backburner during Melo pursuit. Cavs in lead. Bulls less assets post July 10.
