Page 8 Im actually so confident in the Cavs at the moment that im starting to think we can pull out 6th seed.
We are winning while others around are falling! All the ingredients for a 6th seed and the Detroit Pistons in round 1! My best mate here down under is a Piston fan so this could be sweet! EDIT: Bugger! Toronto about to beat the Hornets! New York leading by 6 at HT against the Wizards. The T-Wolves better do the right thing!!! EDIT No.2: Toronto defeat Hornets NY defeat Washington 0 from 2 for us so far with the Celtics at T-Wolves to come! Toronto pull up with the same record as us, but ahead with their head to head on us! So we are 9th! NY now are 1 1/2 games up on us tonight! Boston with a loss will then drop 1/2 game behind us. Therfor we are 8th again. WE MUST BEAT ATLANTA EDIT no.3 Boston looking very silly against Minnesota! Every shot being blocked! LOL 10 - 2 early!
Sick of editing the same post over and over! Boston while shooting a whopping 32% from the field and 21% behind the arc, somehow have a 4 point lead over Minnesota! Cant be true. That would mean 3 bad results in one day! Our luck is changing! Its official. Boston 80 Minny 77! Damn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man .. we got the toughest schedule ! .. Boston just beat Minny .. Miami, Cleveland and T.O. are tied for eighth ... Coming Games : Cavs @ Hawks Raps @ Pacers Heat vs Magic Celtics @ Knicks .. You can easily get the 7th seed in tuesday .. while we might drop a game behind the playoff race ... !
We have been lucky with results going generally our way the past few weeks! However it was bound to go against us eventually! We just need to win, and the other results will mean nothing when where 6th seed!
boston will be heading to the back after their little gauntlet the next 2 weeks. they should be happy to be within 3 games of the pack after this stretch of games they have (which will now be listed and analyzed): AT Minnesota-great win for them, didnt expect them to obviously, but it isnt that big of a deal if things transpire the way they should. AT new york- either result is good for cleveland, but new york is hot right now lakers-no big man, nuf said, shaq will rock them, especially since LA stopped their ugly play against new jersey yesterday pacers- they wont beat indiana, no answer for oneal and indiana shows up every night AT washington- a slight breather, but no game is a gimme for boston, and washington is ok at home usually. denver- denver should be out of their little slump by then. boston seems to matchup to them fairly well though and finally the capper: At dallas-nuf said at san antonio- if duncan is back, nuf said after that- they have new jersey twice the following week, and at philly-who hopefully will still be fighting for playoffs and be up for that 1. they also have a 4 game road trip in april. as stated before if boston survives this stretch, they deserve to make the playoffs, because that is BRUTAL Now on to Toronto, who i am BEGGING to get in because id like to have a draft pick at the very least to put in a trade deal. Crucial week for the raptors this week: At Indiana- thats a tough 1 Cleveland- cavs are hot, and this is the day after indiana game. cavs will have a day off, no matchup for z or boozer Atlanta-easy Utah-fighting for playoffs out west chicago-SHOULD be easy, we know better then.. a rough stretch (huge understatement) New orleans, memphis, houston, new york, all in a row, all on the road, where the raptors stink then memphis and golden state at home this accompanied with an april that includes detroit, indiana, and milwaukee twice each, and another trip to the gund, means the raptors wont have an easy time of it either As for the miami heat (who im shocked we are not talking about more) they have it easiest imo got a huge 1 against sacramento, one of their few toughies remaining orlando, new orleans, seattle, new jersey next week new orleans, philly, washington following week orlando, dallas, indiana after that chicago, atlanta, detroit chicago and an april that has 2 against boston and 2 against cleveland heat are in very good shape if they play decent basketball. ill put my thoughts on new york and ourselves in another post, cuz this 1 is already way too long. lets get some more thoughts out there fellow cavs fans with much wisdom.
Boston definately have a tough schedule ahead, but they are starting to play some decent ball. Really slowing the game up and turning it into a grind against better scoring teams. Hard to see them pulling through that stretch though! Toronto leave me confused. They are a teams of runs. Big win streaks followed by slumps. Strickland was a smart addition as he was craving some playoff ball. If Rose gets healthy, and they continue to dominate the Cavs then they may snek ahead of us! Miami just keep on rollin with that potent combo of Odom, Jones, Wade and Butler! To quick for alot of teams, which makes up for their severe lack of post game and size. Nice schedule for them, but I'm not sold on them. I'll pay for that call i'm sure! New York has plenty of talent and experience! That to me will get them home, and probably in the 6th seed. If Marbury settles his play down again and Houston gets healthy they will be tough to stop!
correct me if I'm wrong, but wade has not played the last couple games due to injury. rafer alston has done a great job filling his role for the time being. another guy that merits mention is rookie udonis haslem, hes been a pleasant surprise for the heat. if i had to pick a team to have the easiest schedule, it would be them because like us, they are young and prone to have "growing pain" sort of games like we had against chicago last week.
The Bucks are currently doing the right thing by dominating the Sixers! This is the only game relevant to us tonight!
the bucks and hornets better get their crap together, or they are gonna fall back to the pack of 6 at the bottom at the playoff standings. i know they are 6 up in the loss column, but there are 19 games left, a 5 or 6 game skid, anything can happen. milwaukee is not very talented to begin with besides redd and van horn, so their woes of late should be very frightening to them. thats a testament to how valuable rookie tj ford is to the bucks.
With the win over Atlanta, the Cavs are now in 7th =, with the same record as the Celtics. But Miami and Toronto are just a half game back from them. The next game is a big one, Cleveland @ Toronto.
Big games tonight... Toronto @ Indiana - Pacer win would be HUGE for us going into our game with the Raps. Boston @ New York - I pick Celts, since we own the season series with the Knicks and have a great shot at the 6 seed. Orlando @ Miami - T-Mac, please explode. 76ers @ Bulls - Chi-Town win here would really put the Sixers in a hole. Enjoy watching the scoreboard tonight fellas, I know I will. Cavs are tied with the Celts for the 7th seed going into tonight, remember.
Indy should take the Raptors, giving us a little buffer on Toronto! I think I'll support the Knicks vs Boston, leaving us outright 7th! Hopefully T-Mac can suprise the Heat in Miami. Doubt it! The Bulls are a chance to take the Sixers, after Phili had a draining comeback win last night!
