Official Damian Lillard All-Star pentathlon thread

That's why there about 30 of us here who actively post. The lurkers who never post get their amusement from our dumb posts, and some of them are in the media.

 

That's dumb, then. No need to 'defend' something that's never been won before. Although I'm guessing this is basically about as difficult physically as jogging for a 1/4 mile, since a teammate is involved.

 

There are 2 sides to this great debate.

1. Playing in 5 events exhausts, distracts, diffuses energy, and makes a player do worse.

2. Don't lay all your eggs in one basket. Diversify your portfolio. This raises the odds he'll win an event.

My prediction: Getting 5 chances will make him do worse overall, but sheer randomness ensures he will win at least 1 out of 5. Well, in the 2 full-team games, I mean "gets excellent stats," not "wins."

The "West vs East" dunk contest has no individual winner...............

..............really? Lillard has to be part of the winning team rather than win it all by himself?

 

After he wins MVP on Sunday, will he have the energy Wednesday for the clutch winning shot against the Spurs?

Will his fatigue cost us a win?

 

MVP winner on Friday and Sunday, 2x Skills champ, dunk TEAM (aka bullshit) winner, and shootout champ on Saturday? Man, that'll be sweet.

 

I guess it's 30. It was more. We can get the media to post by criticizing them.

 

One thing for sure, Lillards agent is doing a great job with his career so far. Most ink I've seen in the media for a Blazer maybe ever! This was a career, swagger move for Dame and I hope it carries him to the finish line with some momentum.

 

Saving the Spurs for LaMarcus, that's why he didn't join the skills and 3pt contest and let Dame do them all.

I'm actually sad I offered to work all star weekend now when I had originally scheduled it off.

Just read it on ESPN. Curry, Love, Kyrie, Belinili and a few others are in it. No teammates though. Kinda wanted to see Wes in to take on splash bros. But real excited to see LILLARD weekend!
