Can we change the title of this thread to the "Offical Iguodala Got Robbed Thread"? Please, I really want these two to have a rematch next season. Just because Nate is 5'2" doesn't necessarily mean that he has 4.5 million dunk attemps. Iguodala > Nate <div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">The contest was over after Iggy did the dunk from behind the backboard. After he ran through the tunnel he should have never came back.</div> AMEN!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MrJ:</div><div class="quote_post">How is it common sense Andre won? If Rudy T. put up a 10 there would have been a tie.</div> because there never should have been a tiebreaker in the first place, iggy got screwed back in the second round
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">The contest was over after Iggy did the dunk from behind the backboard. After he ran through the tunnel he should have never came back.</div> EXACTLY!!! The longer Iggy let it go on the less of a chance he had. Just doing the behind the back or between the legs dunks over and over again were getting mundane.
Did they change the rules recently? If i remember correctly J-Rich didn't win his 3rd dunk contest in a row because he ran out of tries (he only got 2 or 3 i think). Its a shame that the judges treated Nate as a sort of novelty and alot of his dunks were overated (literally) by the judges. It was a pretty boring contest in the end.
It's unanamous Iggy got screwed. But I was he should've done the 360 through the legs. It's only been attempted by J-Rich but hasn't been completed in the NBA. Then there would be no controversy. Sheet
*sigh*, i was out of the house and recently canceled my subscription to comcast network . damn, i was not able to see it and now gotta watch the news, can someone give a full breakdown of what happenedd?im from seattle, but i always wanted nate to win but not like the way you guys are saying.i dont really care what AI says anyway's or how he feels as he sucks ingame so what if he can dunk? also how did josh smith "cock tease" the crowd?
Smith put a tape of where the crowd sopposedly thought he was going to jump from, and he didn't. I'm guessing that's where he wanted to plant his first step so that the timing was right.

It was a more entertaining contest than most previous years, but the scoring controversy killed some of the momentum it generated. Also, they need to put a limit on tries. 14 attempts by Nate in the dunk off is absolutely ridiculous.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting SP23:</div><div class="quote_post">Iggy didn't do a dunk twice, one was from the front the other was from the back. And I think Iggy got robbed too. Nate should have never gotten as many points as he did for missing a lot before the dunk. And most of Iggy's were better. It's because he's small and everybody there wanted him to win. I didn't hear the crowd cheering for Nate much, it was just the judges.</div> Are you kidding me?! The crowd was on their feet for Nate after the Spudd Webb dunk and they stayed ont heir feet can cheered him all the way through his off the backboard dunks. And the Iggy dunks were the same... so what if he did it from different directions. That is what lost it for him.
For all of you who said maybe Rudy T pulled up the wrong card accidently, sense when is it hard to distinguish a NUMBER 9, BETWEEN A NUMBER 10, give me a break! Nate was creative out there but he wasn't effective enough for me. People killed birdman, when it took Nate too many tries to do a simple between the legs. We all know who won this competition...
They had a limit before... two "attempts" (ball hits rim), and you lose your turn. They took that out this year... I wonder why.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting BigMo763:</div><div class="quote_post">Yeah, he should have done something better, but he did what Kobe told him to do...</div> Yup... its pretty much Kobe's fault!

But, when Cheryl Miller told the crowd to clap for Nate when he won, I didn't hear anything... I'm guessing cuz they thought Iggy won. I don't really want to argue about that though lol I'm done.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting SP23:</div><div class="quote_post">I think that was only 1, they crowd went way wilder on Iggy's behind the backboard dunk.</div> Iggy's behind the backboard dunk was freaking awesome... if that was his last dunk it would have been over.
But... come on. You can't change your mind after holding the score card up. I mean seriously... atleast in a card game, the number isn't as big. The scorecards are bigger, and each number has a different color background... it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. Not to mention the crowd booed after he changed it, and all the players said Iggy got robbed...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Fiyah:</div><div class="quote_post">Ever played a game of cards?! Ever put down the wrong card in a game of spades before? Ever?!</div> Yeah, who cares thats irrelevant. The size of a playing card isn't the size of a dunk contest scoring card either.
