I think we shall see a few of those prospects on next year's roster, the fact that Drury has the sense to draft guys with size instead of Gorton's little guy with a big heart mentality is yet another reason Chris is better than his predecessors. Drury gave Lav a top notch roster that he allowed him to win the President's trophy but unfortunately Lav is clueless how to win postseason so LTIR moves, trading prospects, mortgaging the future would be irrelevant.
JD's draft looks amazing also Porter. I don't agree with most of what you said on Lavy. However, we both agree 100%. Not putting Laffy on the PP was moronic. Having 4 right handed shots on the PP and the one lefty shot in front of the net is moronic. It will never work in the playoffs vs. top defensive teams. Zibanejad needs to get the boot off the first PP unit and if they keep him, he needs to be forced to learn how to score at even strength again. He's become a PP specialist. Not what you pay a guy 8 million for. If Mika stays, they have to bring back Buchnevich. No other player seems to be able to play with those two dumbasses. I wasn't a fan of bringing Buch back but I've finally just thrown my hands up and have given up with those 2 assclowns figuring out how to play with another player.
I hope so on the kids Panzer. I do think Othmann and Perreault look like solid players, and Cuylle does as well. Vatrano played well with Kreider and Zibanejad, Buch also played well with those guys as you mentioned. Yet we didn't add either at the trade DL, and now you want Buch here 3 months later. Drury still did a great job despite adding nothing of value at the trade DL. And less than 5 months after saying he has no balls to make a season changing deal, going off on Rangers twitter about him, and saying he should be fired, now he is the man after adding nothing. Interesting takes.
