Whoa, Yao has only played 18 minutes? It seems he's really bothered by foul trouble.

84-76 HOU with 2.41 left in the game.

    T-Mac's got 25 pts and 9 ast.
Jackson has 14 pts 7 reb
    Juwon's contributed 11

Looks like we're going to win this one, however Yao's performance was yet again dissapointing.

WOW GG!! Tmac(takes it to his own hands) I believed in...tonight he reminded me a lil bit of MAGIC and a lot like pee Laker Kobe but less annoying and generally more dominant =) Great game!!!! as oppose to Yao's weak slowness and foul trouble, i think he'll get used to it..we played extremely well and Dikembe showed more agility than Yao...Dikembe shakes his head...not in HIS HOUSE!!!!

First win of the season away from home. This sounded like a great ending to our road swing, and must be lifting our spirits for our game tomorrow against Sacramento. It seems that me and SupraJames were right on our prediction in that McGrady would carry us through, and I was just one point off on my score prediction.

    GREAT WIN!!!

Yao didn't play horrible...in fact I think if he wasn't in foul trouble he would have been in the high teens for scoring. He only played what 22 mins due to foul trouble.

    Great win btw.

    Great win for us.

I apologize for not having enough faith in our team guys [IMG] JJ hit some 3s, Tmac was just amazing. I usually don't watch Tmac or the Magic before this so I don't know how good he is.. Now I know [IMG]

Great prediction Trip, only 1 point off!

Nah, Yao didn't play well. He missed a bunch of close in shots and got his shot blocked 3 or 4 times. On defense, like in previous games, he's a step slow. The way he plays defense, he needs to rotate and get in position very early or he'll get called for a bunch of fouls. Yao's been in foul trouble all 3 games so far, and that's not going to get it done. At least Dikembe filled in nicely today.

I wonder if that brace he has on his elbow is bothering him. Near the end of the game, he took it off and threw it on the ground like it pissed him off to wear it.

I don't understand why Yao doesn't post up high, like 10-12 feet from the basket. He's so tall, and he's supposed to be a good passer, it only makes sense that they would do that. It would also be much easier to get him the ball, and since he has a good jumper he could take advantage of that if the pass isn't available.

I dont think T-Mac should receive all the credit. I think Mutombo played a huge role coming off the bench for the foul troubled yao and getting 6 blocks affecting how the whole memphis team ran their offense.

Yao has to stay out of foul trouble if he wants to put up numbers like 20 points and 10 rebounds. Good victory for us.

Yao has been a bum in the first three games. I have always liked him but felt he is overrated. I thnk Pau is better yet Gasol doesnt get the vredit he deserves

I would think you're a big fan of Yao's, given your name and you have him listed as your favorite player. Outdated?

I'm not going to get down on Yao after just 3 games. I remember Hakeem had a VERY slow start in the beginning of the 94-95 season, and that was probably his best year. I think the Rockets are still trying to figure out which plays really work to get Yao the ball, and which plays don't. At the beginning of the second half, the Rockets ran lots of really nice plays to get Yao the ball down low, so we have the ability to do it. It's just a matter of playing smart and executing. Like I said above, I think we should take more advantage of Yao's passing and shooting skills by running high post plays through him. It would be much easier to deliver Yao the ball in that area, and there'd significantly less chance of a turnover which the Rockets have struggled with these first 3 games.
