Say whatever you want, but Isiah knows talent. Channing Frye has been sensational for us so far in the season. I'm not the biggest Andrew Bynum fan and wouldn't have used a lottery pick on him. As Gotskillz said, he is extremely raw, and he missed his senior year with an injury. I also read somewhere Bynum wasn't as good in high school as Curry and definitely not Shaq. Isiah, however, was ready to take him if Frye was off the board, though.

So far in 20 minutes, Frye is averaging 11 points, 5.3 rebounds, an assist, a blocked shot on a 47.8 field goal percentage and 91.7% from the line. He?s also 16th in the NBA in efficiency per 48 minutes. In about seven less minutes per game, he?s just 2.57 less efficient than the #1 pick, Andrew Bogut. Frye might not turn into a star in this league, but we know we?re getting a solid, hardworking kid who?s giving it his best effort night in and night out. What more can we ask for?

Also, as was mentioned above, Frye compliments Curry?s game very well. With Marbury and Curry drawing double teams, Frye can make opposing teams pay with the midrange jumper. His moves in the low post are also somewhat underrated. He?s showing an effective go-to move with the baby hook and has been running the floor extremely well, especially against the Lakers last night where he finished the break with two dunks including an alley-oop from Crawford.

I understand where you?re coming from, Tribute, but at the end of the day, Frye was probably the best fit for this team. He?s not a project and can contribute immediately, he?s a good complementary to our new franchise center, Eddy Curry. I honestly don?t see Bynum becoming like Shaq ? Shaq is a once in a lifetime player. A better scenario will be someone like Eddy Curry who we would have eventually acquired, anyway.

Btw, sorry for not being as active, but I'm having computer troubles and I don't know when I'll be able to post consistently again. Sorry. [IMG]
