It's justified. I seriously can't remember the last time Jones actually had a good game. By my count, he has had only 2 decent games out of 14. Shooting numbers for the last 9 games:

    3-9
    3-9
    4-12
    4-13
    4-12
    4-9
    3-9
    3-11
    1-6

It's not that he's just missing shots, but he's taking bad shots time and time again. He forces too many shots and takes way too many 3 pointers for someone that is a mediocre jump shooter.

On a side note, it looks like Bargnani's defense has already surpassed Bosh's, which is quite sad.

All this talk about trading mo pete...we NEED him to get back healthy and take back his duties in the starting line-up. Jones has GOT to go. I think he's much better suited for a sixth man role. if he gets off to a slow start as a starter, he's just shot for the entire game. not sure how it makes sam look starting with jones off the bench, then starting him, then benching him again...but hopefully he doesnt let his ego get the better of what is best for the team.

Bargs defense has really impressed me. he's got nice latteral quicks, and plays D with his feet. he can block shots too...when was the last time we had a shot blocker? keon clark? You can just see his comfort level and confidence is growing each game. His first few games he was like a deer in headlights, and he's managed to get rid of that "lost" look he had. Im really starting to become a beliver that he's going to be a great talent in this league. Him and Bosh are going to become a front court duo that will punish the league.

Joey has managed to put together a sting of good games too..really happy with his consistant production.

However watching games without Mo Pete playin..
I think tt really was Mo Pete that was causing problems.....[IMG]</div>

I disagree...mo was playin hurt to start the season...thats what was effecting his shooting numbers. at this point im not sure mo pete is the guy we need to trade

i think once he's healthy, he can contribute to the team...he can certainly do more then fred jones is. mo gives us decent perimeter defense, and is at least a more consistant shooter then jones is. I really dont see how having mo pete in the starting 5 in place of jones would hurt our team in anyway.

Bosh defense leaves room to be desired just cause of his insane athleticism, but he is certainly our best defensive post player. For me a big part of playing defense is an ability to secure defensive rebounds, the guy has been an absolute monster cleaning the defensive glass. Bargnani does block the occasional shot, but hardly gets any rebounds has be owned by guys like andres biedins. It might be bosh has realized that its far more beneficial to the team if he contests the shot than goes and gets the rebound. Also, he is currently playing with a huge knee brace. Garbo is a crafty player but along with bargnani they both pale in comparison to bosh interms of value to the raptors overall defense. Nevertheless im happy with our low post play on the defensive side of the ball.
