^^ Another Vince fanatic. Raptors already beat Vince and the Nets in their own backyard. We don't need Vince, period.
good game... any other raptor fan holding there breath to see jalen hold his hand in pain when diving for the loose ball... hopefully it's nothing serious... it was an entertaining game for sure... let's hope the raps can bring this energy on their road trip coming up.....
Actually, I know this sounds mean, but I was kinda hoping Jalen got injured on that play (nothing too serious of course) so that we could tank the rest of the season. I admit, these last few wins have been exciting, but I want a high draft pick dammit.

Game Recap and other stories
Quote:

TORONTO (AP) -- Jalen Rose knew he'd play well after learning he needed just 10 points to pass his biological father on the NBA's career scoring list. Rose scored 26 points, including eight straight late in the fourth quarter Sunday, and the Toronto Raptors extended their winning streak to three games with a 108-102 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. ``I woke up today and somebody sent me an e-mail and told me if I score 10 points I'll pass my biological father,'' said Rose, whose father, Jimmy Walker, had 11,655 career points. ``That's what I used as motivation in today's game.'' Rose doesn't have a relationship with Walker, a former All-Star who left Jalen and his mother. Rose scored 10 of Toronto's last 12 points and the Raptors closed out the game on a 12-3 run. The 11-year veteran injured his right hand diving for a ball in the final seconds. He couldn't get X-rays on his non-shooting hand after the game because the X-ray machine at the Air Canada Centre wasn't working. He'll have X-rays on Tuesday.
Source
Quote:

With a few seconds left and victory all but secured, an ever-helpful Raptors public relations person stopped by the media table. "If we win, we're 16-16 since the Carter trade," he said. Now, a cynic might have been a little skeptical that, given the rough ride general manager Rob Babcock has been taking the past few weeks, this was an attempt to spin a little positive public opinion. Maybe yes, but facts are facts. The Raptors, who dug in and played some gritty defence when it counted down the stretch, beat the Kobe Bryants 108-102. Toronto is still a flawed basketball team, but nobody can say the Raps are not better than they were when they were dragging Carter around the court like an anchor. And their record proves it. You can argue all day and all night that Babcock should have gotten more for their pouting superstar but the simple truth is they didn't because nobody offered anything better. Carter's dismissal to New Jersey was addition by subtraction. That cleansing of negative vibes in the locker-room was one thing. Now, with the passing of the trade deadline and the false alarm about massive changes, the players have accepted their collective fate.
Source

Haha, the ping pong balls roll our way and he's like I think the machine is faulty, let's try that again

I wasn't really serious about the whole injury thing... but if you ask me, I'd still rather get a higher draft pick than make a run for the playoffs. This draft is supposedly a very deep one so I wouldn't want to miss out on some of the better talent. But I do like how we're playing w/ much more chemistry and winning some games..... so if we win or lose, I'd still be happy.
