Not even Yao could have slowed down the Raps last night. They were angry and on fire. Toronto has owned the Rockets the past couple years.
True or not? <div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">I think it had to do with the contract situation and James is more of a SG than PG. Mike James is playing for a big day, while Alston is locked up for a reasonable amount of money. I don't think Alston is worthy of being a starter, but he's a very capable and productive backup. Once Sura is back, the deal will make a lot more sense for the Rockets. The only problem I have with Alston was his pre-game comments. He needs to move on from his time in Toronto and not give his opponents any motivation. If he's going to talk the talk he better be ready to walk the walk.</div> According to a Chinese news article in a famous chinese website, the Rockets traded M James for R Alston was due to the friction between T-mac and Mike James. T-Mac didn't like the way James plays. When James is playing , he dosn't want to be a role player and like to make his stat sheet look gorgeous. He takes way too many shots that definitely dosn't please T-Mac. It's T-Mac's suggestion that helped Dowson finally make the decision to trade M James. The article says it's an anonymous rockets' personnel gives it away. This news might be untrue. I'm just sharing this with u guys since I saw it. http://sports.sina.com.cn/k/2006-01-08/09481979486.shtml

At the end of this game, James and TMac hugged and James later did a courtside interview with a reporter for the Raptors regional network. He was asked what TMac said to him when they hugged, and James told her that it was positive stuff and encouraging James to keep doing what he's doing. There might have been friction between the two on the court at times but I doubt that TMac had anything to do with the deal. Any observer could see that James wasn't passing the ball enough in Houston.
