<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Lucky as in when Nowitzski traveled all over the world and then ran into Yao Ming when it was clear that he had no contol of anything. That part...apprently pushed the Mavs lead even higher when we were in reach. and what the hell are you talking about averagin almost 100 points a game? My comment had nothing to do with what you said.

    Let you quote you:

You said that it wont be another shootout because the mavs got lucky last time, so in response I said that they are consistently scoring alot of points. Also a couple of traveling and charge calls arent werent going to win that game for the rockets.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Oh and use common sense on the things I listed...if you could tell I was refering to the offensive part...jeez. </div>
Exactly and there more to winning games than scoring.

i guess we could have done two things tonight, a great game or a terrible one.

We need offensive help. Van gundy cant coach offense, weve been struggling for the past two years on it, someone needs to help him. who on our team, other than yao who barely takes any shots, shoots over 40%. We really need a big change in the team, its not just this game, the offense we are producing is terrible. I rarely see a good performance by them, and if it is one guy who has a big night, then the next game he just ends up with like 2.

Yeah, our offense has been terrible all year. Even over the 3 game win streak, we didn't shoot 40% from the field. We don't have many players who can penetrate and create off the dribble, other than McGrady. I expected Sura to play much better on the offensive end, but he hasn't given us much of anything besides rebounding. Barret has been the sole player other than Tracy and Yao who has been able to create shots for himself and others.

Anyways, against Dallas the transition defense was terrible and Yao couldn't do anything against Dampier (he had the same problem in the previous game against Dallas). Combine those two things with the fact that McGrady was doubled and tripled team virtually every time he touched the ball on the perimeter, and you have a blowout.

I knew we wouldn't win this game based on our dismal record against the mavs. Even our 3 game momentum wouldn't save us..i knew another miracle wasn't possible to happen 2 nights in a row. No positives from the stats from any rocket. Just terrible shooting..wait till we get to pheonix (another fast break team) if we keep shooting like this we're gna get blown out; especially by fast teams

What a disappointment after a morale-lifting victory over the Spurs. Dallas zoned in on McGrady and our supporting cast wasn't able to make shots to help lift the pressure off of Yao and T-Mac. However, there has been some optimism in garbage time. Reece Gaines especially showed a good shooting touch, but why wasn't Weatherspoon playing even when the game didn't matter anymore? It would have been better to see how he would do instead of Mo Taylor.

didn't see the game and I'm kind of glad that I didn't, the rockets need role players desperately...the only role players really worth anything are barret, jackson, padgett,Mutombo and sura.........we need a starting PF,PG,and SF....I love Jim Jackson but I think father time is starting to catch up with him, I'd love to see him coming off the bench.......no one can shoot on this team, we need trades and in we need them in a bad way!!!

Gaines sucks. Hitting some shots in garbage time when the game is already over doesn't show anything, in my opinion. He hasn't helped the team when it mattered.

And I am also bewildered that Weatherspoon can't get off the bench. Everone and their grandma knows that the Rocket's achilles heel this season has been low energy and overall crappy play from our two main PFs -- Howard and Taylor. Even Van Gundy has said that everyone on the team has been given a chance except Spoon. And yet Weatherpoon STILL hasn't gotten of the bench, except in little one minute stretches here and there as a backup center. It completely baffles me. What the hell has Mo Taylor done in the past 3 weeks to justify him continuing to get 25+ minutes a game and Weatherspoon 0? His defense, rebounding, passing, scoring all sucks -- so why not give Spoon a chance? JVG is screwing up royally by not benching Taylor, and someone needs to let him know.

Actually Mo Taylor led the team in rebounds last night, but still yes he hasent been playing well and shouldnt be getting minutes.
