Kobe isn't a god, and just because he got injured doesn't mean that it was intentionally harmful. I know Laker fans are shocked by this, but yes even Kobe is human. The Lakers franchise may be as close to immortal as an NBA franchise can be but give me a break, don't be pinning Ray with an offense he didnt commit.

After Bryant went down in the first minute, Shaquille O'Neal scored 32 points to lead the Lakers to a 99-91 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics.

The Lakers avoided back-to-back losses at the Staples Center for the first time since Feb. 14-16, 2003. Returning from a four-game road trip, Los Angeles lost to Sacramento in its last home contest Feb. 26</div>

This is not good, just when Malone is set to come back too, hopefully he will be good for play-off time and the team can click around then. Shaq killed the sonics down low and was pretty decent at the line going 12-18.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting notMuchgame:</div><div class="quote_post">IMO, I think Allen pushed Kobe intentionally, but I don't think he meant to hurt him to be honest...Injuries happen, its part of the game...I'm sure Allen wouldn't have pushed him if he knew Kobe was gonna get seriously injured....It's like throwing a elbow...you do it, but you really wouldn't want to connect and seriously injure a guy,</div>
    ^^Exactly

This was an exciting game and there were a lot of great open court plays by both teams. I liked the pace of the game and I enjoyed the entertainment Flip Murray brought to this game. I haven't watched much of him this year, but I have new found admiration for his game. The crossover move he put on Brian Cook, was nasty. Sonics are definitely one of the more exciting teams to watch when they can play at their pace and flow.

I was glad to see the Lakers finally hit their free throws down the stretch of the game, especially the Big Fella. He seemed determined to make up for the last two games. Devean George played a little better than he has been playing and I think his 65 foot shot at the end of the first quarter gave him some much needed confidence. Kareem Rush hit another huge shot for us, and has been clutch all season. After New Jersey, we have a long road stretch, so this win was big for us.

The play had nothing to do with who the player was. It doesn't matter who he would have done that to, I don't believe on that "he grabbed him but didn't mean to injure him" stuff, it was uncessary and that was completely his fault. No one to blame but Ray on that one, not just because it happened to Kobe but because of what had happened. No one thinks Kobe is "immortal" don't worry, no matter who this would have happened to I would have said the same. If your the offensive player and a screen is being set for you.. so you can GET AWAY from the defender.. why do you pull the arm? No more "it wasn't intentional" stuff, that was dirty. You don't pull someone's arm like that when the guy is between him and the guy who is setting the screen, even if the guy has a good shoulder or bad one.

Yes, the Lakers won the game over Seattle, but it just didn't feel like a win. Kobe once again out for an estimated four weeks. Now, I've seen all the replays to exactly what happened to Kobe, and this wasn't intentional at all. Little things like this just happen. Kobe just got tied up in a horrible position at the wrong time. Probably when he comes back, he should start thinking about wearing a brace because that shoulder is now very vulnerable to get into a more serious injury than it is now.
