Official Game Thread: Toronto @ Chicago (2/13/07)

Criticism can be constructive I agree and I never said that the Raptors were a perfect team without their faults. And no where did I say that we should be content with the Raps or that we can't get better or that BC isn't actively looking to improve the team. Listening to anyone on the Raps they aren't content either. What I AM saying though is we just beat out a team that is supposed to be challenging for a title and there were 75% negative posts about it. Nickpicking IS NOT criticism...And ya maybe I'm a homer a little bit but it's better than bandwagon. Beginning of the season I was stoked on the team when most others in here were bashing BC, Mitchell, the Euro content, the team.

As for intelligent fans, those are those that don't think they know more than the guys getting paid to do their job. shoulda woulda coulda eh chutney! it's never that we toughed out a win, it was the other team that won us the game right? Teams make pushes and get hot sometimes it corresponds with shots not falling for us...it isn't necessarily the coach's fault. There is a reason we are all sittin on our asses watching the games rather than on the bench calling last minute plays etc. Ya we give up late leads but it is usually to good teams that know how to win in the clutch ala Dallas, Phoenix, etc. And that is what we are becoming a team that knows how to win in the clutch. Every team has weaknesses, Phoenix was a Nash injury away from mediocrity, Miami has had their troubles. So while we have ours we are also playing inspired TeaM basketball that deserves to be acknowledged and have ppl stoked on rather than nitpick. We win by 1 or 10 is there really a difference?

A13x...ya you can be a fan without accepting everything but can you be a fan criticizing everything? So we were a whistle away from losing the game. The other day i was one step away from getting hit by a bus, we were one shot away from beating Philly years ago in the playoffs. You can't play the "what if" game you can only look at the results. So if we win it all (not that i really think that we will) what are you going to say...'well we are champions but we almost lost that last game cuz Sam sub'd TJ out for Jose and we were one airball away from losing????

'Clipse..so where did i say that i'm content with the team? you pick that quote out and show me. Plus all you said in areas of improvement is that we give up late leads, and....(?) That and show me one team that doesn't have areas they need to improve. not even phoenix, dallas, miami, la or whoever are perfect and one could pick numerous areas that they could improve in too. And right now our best players and coach are finding away to win..

And that's what really grinds my gears....
