It's Saturday night and everyone in Atlanta is at the game. The whole crowd just booed the refs for not calling a foul on Aldridge. The 10 voices made me plug my ears.
I'm starting to wonder if his good 3 point season last year was an anomaly. Maybe he is tired from playing the Worlds this past summer?
Well much better quarter, but I can do without some players, particularly Mills, Collins, and Batum. They really should be on the bench for the rest of this game.
Just got in..from the posts in this thread you'd think we were down 20 at halftime, turns out we're up 3. Chill out people.
Watch the last 20 seconds of the first quarter someway and you will see why at least my responses were what they were. Basically Hawks scored 8 points in those 20 or so seconds.
I figured it out. Both teams combined scored 73 points in the half. There are 73 poeople in the stands. It makes sense.
Not to mention that we are shooting like crap from everywhere and have 11 turnovers at the half (which is nearly our average for a game). It's understandable why some are critical of our play thus far. Well, I just feel fortunate that our D is decent and the Hawks are as sloppy as us.
Since this seems to be the thread to dog on our players, is it just me or does Matthews suck more often than not lately? He is such a terrible ball handler it's shocking, plus when he has the ball he simply cannot see or get the ball to open teammates. He missed Rudy on a fast break, when Rudy was six feet away and couldn't have been more open. At least he's normally useful on D and when he gets his feet set for an open three. Plenty of amateur play to go around for the Blazers in the first half. I expect them to get it together in the second and win this game!
Didn't Batum score in the 20's last night? So his game is off tonight and there are demands for trades? This is freaken laughable.....
