Nintendo DS, here comes your owner.

Guys dont hate, just because I picked all the favorites. [IMG]</div>

You're going to be hurting tomorrow though. There are a lot of games on the horizon that are upset specials.

Not to mention that once you get out of the first or second round, the seedings really go out the window.

An all #1 seed Final Four? I don't think I have to worry about you... [IMG]

If it actually happens, then you lose your position as a mod. [IMG]
Anyways, I am like ranked 7th. Hopefully the favorites keep on winning.

Has it ever been this uneventful on opening day?</div>
I forget what year it was, but I remember Central Michigan (I think they were a 12 or 11) was the only real upset on opening day.

I was just wondering. Are there people in our group that are not part of JBB? There are some people there I have never heard of?

I should have signed up for this, but was too lazy. All I care about is NC and TX.

I hope NC can win it all.

I am going for NC. At first when i was about to sign up, I was like "Forget it, I won't win the DS anyways and this will be confusing" but it turned out to be ok. All I did was pick the favorites and picked UNC to win the whole thing and so far I have been doing pretty good. Hopefully, I'll win the DS, unless the favorites lose. But again, they are the favorites. Not many upsets happened today and I am predicting the same thing for tommorow. I am not much of an expert nor I listen to them. I am just going on my judgement, and hopefully it'll be correct. [IMG]

^Damn bracketology pisses me off. I follow college bball closely all year and make some upset picks that I thought could fly, and I'm going to end up losing to people who've probably never heard of Drew Neitzel or Acie Law. We do bracket challenges within our family each year, and some of my 8 year-old cousins who pick all the higher seeds are going to beat me. Damnit! Davidson and Wright St. screwed me over.

Don't worry about it man, the next round is where the simple pickers start to drop.

[IMG] Maybe you shouldn't pick all the upset teams to win. If you lose to your cousin, then why don't you try what they do. [IMG]
BTW, I have heard of Acie Law. [IMG]

Aren't you a simple picker. I recall you saying:

<div class="quote_poster">M Two One Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Aye, I'm not worried, I think I should expand my NCAA knowledge. Quite shameful really the only U I'm familiar with is Illinois. With all I have on NBA and Europe I should know more on the college level.</div>

Like Voodoo said, when the Sweet 16/Elite 8 comes up, seeds get thrown out the window and plenty of upsets will win and advance. These brackets are won and lost in the 2nd round/Sweet 16, IMO. It doesn't really matter how wrong you are in the first round as long as you don't lose many Sweet 16 or farther advancing teams.

I'm not a simple picker. I have enough knowledge to know what's what in the NCAA, just that Illinois is a university I know top to bottom. All the players, their backgrounds, where they came from, personal info, etc. I've been to that U numerous times and have a close relationship with people there. The thing I was going on about is that I do go with picks that people would call bold or just stupid. Like Memphis making it to the finals.

There are some colleges that I don't know jack about though, like Eastern Kentucky. Until now I'd never even heard of it. lol That's the shameful part.

Ah ok. Is this like a trend that many upsets happen in Sweet 16 and Elite 8?
If it is, hopefully my teams don't lose that many games and I'll win enough games for my DS! [IMG]

Actually, usually the upsets happen in rounds one and two. In fact, you'll likely see a lot of upsets tomorrow. It's just that once you get to the Sweet 16, you're an elite team, regardless of the seeding. A #2 and a #3 aren't that different, nor are a #1 or #4 for that matter. That's why all #1's rarely make the Final Four.

BTW - XSV, I feel your pain! **** Wright State!

I hope not many upsets happen tommorow. I haven't even seen 3/4 of these teams play. I just went with who I thought was good.
