Grant and Thybulle are 2 of the 3 players shooting >40% on 3-pointers.
If only they could all be healthy at the same time.

Any of you Thybulle believers have so much faith in him that you'd bet me he'll be shooting above 40% at the end of the season?

Insert excuses for why you don't below...

    Above 40%?

I think he could finish the season between 38-4o%

He "could" finish above 45%. That wasn't the question though.

Thybulle is a nice role player even if he is shooting 35% from 3, so me not being ready to buy into him being a 40% 3pt shooter isn't a knock on him at all.

Yeah, did anyone say that they only like him because of where his three point percentage is at this moment? I like the guy because he's one of the most disruptive off ball defenders in the game, he's a decent on ball perimeter defender, he finishes strong at the rim on the break and when cutting and he's a decent three point threat when you're only asking him to knock down set threes in the flow of the offense. Obviously the guy doesn't create offense for himself except fast break points off of turnovers he had a hand in.

Oh and if a team offered us even a protected pick that was likely to be in the 20s in a future draft for Tisse, I'd let the dude go because like Malcolm and Jerami he is probably more valuable contributing to playoff wins right now than he is to us.

Well I never said he was an above 40% shooter so I don’t think that’s likely. I think he will finish between 38-40% which is where he has been since joining the team.

I never said people only liked him because of his 3pt percentage. And I don't believe I've even said anything bad about the guy, because I like him. Unless me thinking his current 3pt percentage is a bit of an anomoly is me ripping on him. I don't think it is because nobody has really wanted to bet me otherwise.

So like me, you think his current percentage is inflated from what we can expect going forward. Glad we agree!

    2%? lol

A 38% shooter is still really good.

I agree... let's bet he doesn't shoot above 38% from this point forward for the rest of the season. Would you take that? That's a 3.3% cushion from his current percentage.

I really don’t think his newfound shooting stroke is an anomaly. Not that I think he’ll continue to be a 42% 3pt shooter going forward, but I think he’ll continue to develop his reputation as a floor spacer. His confidence shooting the ball is night and day. He gets 3’s up now with no hesitation.

Personally, I do think 40ish% on the 4 3pa is sustainable, but I hope he starts to shoot more of them. 36-37% on double the volume would make him twice as valuable imo, even if the percentage dips.

    I hope you're right.

I continue to read people say they have confidence 40% is sustainable, but nobody is taking me up on my offer.

I don’t bet money on opinions. I mean I guess if you want to go play Texas Hold ‘em I will bet money for that, but I don’t bet on sports.

I wouldn't bet money on your opinions either... you'd be broke!

I would have raked it in for my stance on Dame during the summer.

    No you wouldn't have.

Just don't come back when Thybulle finishes the season at 40% from 3 this year and say you knew it! Your chance to really stand behind your beliefs is now! And I want this to happen!

The way to get two 1sts out of any Grant or Brogdon trade would be to trade 2nds for win-now players like Justin Holiday and Delon Wright. Combining those guys with players from a returning Grant/Brogdon deal should be able to get a 1st.

So get stuff back from Grant trade for filler and a 1st, then pairing the filler + Holiday or Wright for a another 1st, and repeat the process with Brogdon. If Cronin plays his cards right, he could trade Grant, Brogdon, and a few 2nds for 4 1sts.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but there is a rumor of Grant to Indiana, with the main return to us being Jarace Walker.

Grant has helped us be a competitive team, and I think he's a very good piece on a good team. But with him hitting 30, I get why we're trying to trade down.

    link?

Pritchard would be silly to dump a lottery pick that quickly unless he saw something massively discouraging. Hali is 23.
