What's the exact quote? Sprague doesn't really have sources.

Think we can trade Grant for Jrue and have 2 Jrues on the roster?

Suppose we do take on PG to get the #3 - who do we even want at 3? I mean, I like VJ and I like Kon, but this is supposed to be a two player draft. God forbid we take Ace Bailey.

Unless we then flip him to Brooklyn or New Orleans, who are both supposedly trying to trade up for him.

How much better do they think they are getting Edgecomb and Paul vs Holiday and Bryant? That's the question.

Only way I trade up to 3 is take the huge flyer on Bailey. Takin g on PG for fucking Knueppel would not make for a happy draft day for me.

But...if we can move PG it would not be too bad regardless of who we take. That is a big if, though.

I don't see PG as all that movable on his contract

PHI makes that trade for a really really good player. Not Grant.

I mean, we've got people freaking out about Jerami's contract and Jrue's contract - wait till they see Paul George's contract... And the other two haven't blown out their fucking achilles tendons.

Both of you can't be right. If his contract is hard to move, then they are not getting anyone really good.

It's that 3rd pick attached to it that makes Grant a poor offer to PHI. I like PG a lot as a player and off the bench he could be fantastic, but that price tag is insane.
