I don't think Isiah will do this move. It would be an absolute terrible move if we did that. Do people forget we have the 20-year-old Trevor Ariza occupying the SF position? If Harrington were 2 inches taller I'd do the move, but unfortunately, he is not therefore leave this move alone.

I also think some of you guys are giving Isiah too much heat. What will you say if the draft picks turn out well and he grabs a star with our expiring contracts? I know he isn't the best around, but I think he deserves a little more credit than what he is receiving.

This dosent seem to be so good of a trade for the knicks trading marbury for another forward.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting custodianrules2:</div><div class="quote_post">I think in order for the Knicks to win they need a combination of one good big man, a good point guard, and a good shooting guard, plus the chemistry to go with it along with the supporting role players at the 3/4 or 5. They got the point guard spot taken care of, but there's no consistency coming from the 2 guard nor the type of defense a solid backcourt should have to limit the other team's heavy scorers. There's also the unlikelihood that anyone will pass the rock other than Marbury, who can be a ballhog at times. Plus, when you play small with no shotblock presence, a team is just asking to get crushed.

I can sympathize with the Knicks fans who must live with a GM that is being very questionable, to put it nicely. I'm a Warriors fan so I should know. We've survived the worst GM's decision making (Dave Twardzick) and it took two GM's, about 5 or 6 coaches and 11 years to finally see some turnaround.

The other guy I don't like is Rob Babcock. The guy seems like a moron to me, to put it nicely.</div>

    Davis/Fisher
    Richardson/Pietras/Ellis
    Dunleavy/Pietras/Cabarkapa
    Tropy Murphy/Diougu
    Biendrins/Foyle/Chris Taft

how can you not like this team loaded with a combination of young talent w/ potential and NBA stars like Davis and Richardson as your back court?

If you've seen the Warriors way back in '94 it was something worse than what Isiah Thomas was doing. The trade decisions and drafts were horrible.

It doesn't really matter anymore. Isiah was on the radio yesterday and he said that it is "completely false". He also said he keeps a log of all of his discussions he has with other GM's and he hasn't even as much as talked to the Hawks.

This is a very bad trade imo i hope it doesn"t happen
Harrington won"t fit there and same with marbury
    Knick"s don"t need another forward.

Ahhh.. The post had an article Isiah (Bleeping) Thomas, they asked him about the trade and he used F*** about 20 times in the whole interview, so close this thread because this was a false rumor, Isiah never talked to the hawks and said MARBURY IS NOT LEAVING NY

Yeah, Isiah denounced all the rumors. I believe that he doesn't want to trade Marbury, especially not in those deals that were rumored. I do like Dalembert though, so if the Knicks found a way to add him without giving up Marbury, he would improve them greatly, especially defensively.

In fact with a guy like him, you could afford to give Mo Taylor a lot of minutes to take advantage of his offensive game, as Dalembert would compensate what Mo takes away from a team defensively.

Actually, this trade would be excellent. A versatile power foward who has some good quicks and isn't what you could call dumb. Harrington, when motivated, plays with a stunning hustle. A hustle comparable to JYD, but the only difference is that Al can really play. Harrington brings some intensity, he brings a brain and pure hustle along with good team play. Watching him come off the bench in Indiana was a joy for me, Al Harrington is and has been one of my favorite players. To see one of my least favorite players traded for one of my favorites sounds just great to me. This takes pressure off of Sweetney (though eventually he'll need some), and Frye. If he plays in New York in a similar manner to how he played in Indiana he'll be a great acquisition. Isiah was close to him in Indiana so I could absolutely see this trade goind down.
    *crosses fingers*

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Terminator-X:</div><div class="quote_post">marbury is not a fast break player???

guess u never seen him running tings at 155th every year

its the knicks crappy system thats cramping his game now</div>
Is this some sort of joke? Marbury is quite a weak full court player, that's insane. Think about what you just posted. Please.
j0se is absolutely correct, Marbury is sub-par in the front court.

This trade enables Crawford to assume the point guard role, where he belongs. It gives Nate a better chance to develop, and Crawford will basically be told by Isiah to teach Nate a thing or two about dribbling and controling the basketball.

This trade is damn near ideal.
    Do it, Isiah!

Reports today in the Times and in various other places indicate that there is a potential trade with Washington for Kwame. Knicks give Richardson, we get Kwame - straight up.
Washington likes Sweetney, but the contracts don't work and they wouldn't take a package with Malik or JYD.

Dammit. I hate Kwame, and Aguirre would have too much work to do with all these guys.
    What do you guys think?

No, no and another no. Q is not worth Brown at all. We just got him too and now we're ready to deal him? This doesn't make much sense on Isiah's part. Why would he give up Q of all people to Washington for the perrenial underacheiver, Kwame Brown? At least we know what we're getting with Q - with Brown, you have no idea what you're getting. One day you might get a solid effort, the next, you might get a lazy effort, the one after that, you might get an attitude. The only way I'd take Kwame is if I'm getting Blatche in the deal and giving up Sweetney + fillers.

I like this trade. Wizards replace the sg they just lose we get the center we need everyone is happy. We get interior defense, somethine like a seven footer and a decent shot blocker. Athletic too. I like this deal as long as we pick up a sg down the road. Michael Finley?

We are never goin to get Finley, Kwame is a lazy ass, i dont want his bi-polar self where he has more mood swings than women PMS'ing. Finley is getting old and he isnt what the knicks need, we need some young energy, some guys that actually want to win. [IMG]

LoL its true, i dont want another Darko, its not worth Q at all. I say we trade out mo,jerome, malik, sheeet if lee nate and frye play like they've been playing i would trade away half the team, but summer league is only part of the show. so lets hope for the best...
