It never happens when a star is dealt, and publicly demanding a trade tarnishes his value a bit (just like AI).Chicago has nothing to match salaries with, except Big Ben, which doesn't make any sense. Then you figure they will not trade him to a western conference team. I don't know if I see that happening. This is ridiculous, I have absolutely no clue where Kobe will end up.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I have absolutely no clue where Kobe will end up.</div>Hopefully in yellow and purple. Teams need to grow some cajones and put players in their place. I remember 3-4 seasons ago, if you demanded a trade, you fricken got it. That's ridiculous and teams who gave in paid for it.Players need to shut up and play, especially with Kobe after the whole Shaq saga. Lakers management better be stern and not give in. They'll just be a laughingstock if Kobe is traded.
Is Kobe smoking something? He keeps giving different feelings the past few days. But Oh well. I guess franchise players are starting to get ansy with the teams theyve spent years with. I would want to stay if I were him. They need just a few players to do something. But I guess hes not willing to take that chance.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BrewCityBuck @ May 30 2007, 02:20 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>There's no way Kobe could come back after this.</div>True. There would be so many critisizms.
A couple Suns fans who live in LA said that a lot of Lakers fans don't really like Kobe because of how much they loved Shaq. They respect the guy and all that, but he's just not as loved as some superstars are on most teams. After this, BCB is right, he can't go back.

That's what a f*cking hate about Laker fans (don't take offense guys). They are absolutely in love with the guy one day, and then they act like "I hate that ***hole." That's absolutely ridiculous, and I know it's gonna happen. All these Laker fans will all of the sudden hate Kobe, act like they never really liked him that much, and they'll go off saying all these negative things about it. "He's stubborn, he's an ***hole, he's this and that."
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>After this, BCB is right, he can't go back.</div>As far as I'm concerned, he's not left yet. Wow..this is pretty insane. Hopefully the Lakers sink down to where we were in the 90's after this. I would love to see the Lakers suffer, as a Celtics fan.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>How can the Lakers not trade him after this?</div>Why would they trade him, so they can get a crappy return and be one of the worst teams in the league. Have to start over from scratch and look like another Katelyn Faber. I mean because if they do trade him, that's what Kobe did to them. He raped them. They pick him over Shaq and he's going to pull a trade demand. HA!Honestly, keeping him is more beneficial than trading him. Despite these statements he's made, it's not enough to trade him.

This is unfreaking believable. As a grizfan, im about to piss my pants completetly. TRADE GASOL, PICK...AND HELL THROW WARRICK IN THERE...I WANT KOBE!!!Jerry West wants to go out with a BANG! This is the perfect way to do it.......Kobe would defiently get fans to come to Memphis, but considering what he did with the talent in LA, he could take Memphis far with players like Gay, Miller, or Warrick or something....Im probably getting ahead of myself...but Jerry West is known for trading for his former players.

Memphis would be worse than the Lakers are now after trading those guys.

I have had enough about the Pistons top 4 stars. Kobe wouldn't make it fair. Cleveland should give the whole team besides LeBron and Hughes and get Kobe. :dribble:

You're basically like the Lakers now. Except probably worse as Kobe/Gay is not better than Kobe/Odom.
