<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (PrimeTime @ May 30 2007, 06:27 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Gordon played PG alot in his rookie season and won 6th man of the year. I dont think it's out of the question if he could ever convert to a true PG while I agree Duhon is a great passer(he really isnt above average at anything else.) If you watched Gordon this year, he showed handling skills that rival any PG right now(Which originally his only flaw at playing PG was poor handling.)</div>Gordon is a scorer first and foremost, and that's not what you want in a point guard playing with Kobe. Duhon isn't an all-star, but he's a very solid point who can make plays on a playoff calibur team. He'll get the job done, especially with Kobe taking attention away from him. A Gordon-Kobe combination hurts both guys because they need the ball a lot. Duhon won't care if he doesn't get shots. In short, the Bulls are much better off trading Gordon than Deng. If the Lakers can get the deal I described earlier than they'd be better off trading Kobe, because right now they're going nowhere.

The Lakers would likely say no unless Deng was part of the package. Id rather have Gordon as a starting point guard then Duhon, and im sure if Deng was gone the bulls would make that happen. Gordon could fit as a pg, the only reason he shoots so much is that he is our shooting guard as of now. If asked to, he could be a decent passer also. I imagine around 5 or 6 assists per game along with 20+ points. He would also be more efficient with Bryant being double teamed, and have much more open shots also so he wouldnt need to be shoot-first so much as he would have great looks at the basket.

They'll never get full value but if I'm Lakers, I'd be intrigued to pull the trigger. Might be more on Bulls, pg becomes weak. And I don't see anyone in their price range that great in the free market(pg wise). But it's Kobe and they need a go to scorer badly. I still think Lakers besides this hoopla, stick with Kobe. I know the main consensus is that's not happening but I just don't see a worthy deal that Lakers pull on. This might be it, but it seems like more fans talking then actuality.

He doesn't want to end up like KG by being loyal and not winning, but who's to say winning is out of the question? Trades are still up in the air and anything can happen.</div>For someone who wears a Kobe sig and has been a fierce defender of him in the past, that's pretty disloyal of you to just say you don't care if he is happy or not. Manangement has screwed Kobe before, and it is clear that they want to take the longer route to rebuild whereas Kobe wants to get that process to quicken up. At least unlike KG he is saying these things earlier rather than later so both he and the team will have better outcomes.

Management has sucked but Kobe is the disloyal one here. He should make himself happy, and he always talks about the Lakers being the greatest Franchise and his favorite team. But then this...so it's like, are you going to be loyal and stay behind the scenes and work with management, or are you going to demand a trade and leave. Leave all of the fans that have been loyal for so many years. Leave an organization that helped get him 3 NBA titles and shape him into the player he is today.

They have regressed from 04/05 when they actually had a nice piece in Caron, yet traded him for Kwame fu*king Brown. They haven't went for any big trades or FA signing to help Kobe, who has done more for his team in the past 2 years than any star in the NBA right now. He gave you 11 years of top 50 caliber basketball, helped win you guys 3 rings...you should be far more angry at manangement than Kobe in this case.

I just saw something on Sportscenter where he said he talked it out with phil, I wouldnt end all trade talks yet but now id say there is about a 25% chance he gets traded. Laker fans can rejoice for now.

They would just need a role player who can do his job and that what Duhon brings to the table. He is a great hustler, good defender and passer. They could go after a PG, but he could fit the role.Kobe is turning into a soap opera damn, he needs to guest star on Days of our Lives.

Hell even the fans do (I know I've been overly dramatic). But it's a dramatic place and a dramatic situation. I just wish they wouldn't do all this in the media.

If he does get traded, I hope the best for him, but I am always a Laker fan first.Thank God I just heard he will most likely stay.

In response to inquiries regarding Kobe Bryant?s comments in the media today requesting a trade, Lakers owner Dr. Jerry Buss has issued the following statement: ?We are aware of the media reports. However, Kobe has not told us directly that he wants to be traded. We have made it very clear that we are building our team around Kobe and that we intend for him to be a Laker his entire career. We will speak directly to Kobe and until we do that, we will not comment publicly about this.? Man I hope he gets traded.
