Zags and the Gaels hate everything about each other. Should be a great battle. Its tough to beat a rival thats another tourney team 3 times in a year. I'm anxious for the game.

The latest rankings have me a little confused -

    6 Michigan
    7 Kansas
    8 Michigan State
    9 Miami (FL)

    Isn't that upside down?

Miami beat MSU, MSU beat Kansas, and MSU split with Michigan, and in their win they absolutely embarrassed Michigan and in their loss, they only lost by a point at the last minute.

Zags dominate the Gaels. Should remain #1 in all the land.

Does this Alabama loss take Tennessee out of the dance?

So is this the only NCAA thread going? I've been out of town for a week, so I've been too busy to post on s2.

Is there a tournament thread that I'm overlooking, or is this really all the interest there is in it? I figured the tournament sort of transcended that boundary.

Hell, everyone fills out a bracket. What have been your best/worst picks so far? Anyone pick Florida Gulf Coast? Harvard? La Salle?

I picked La Salle.. But I had Georgetown as my champions, so I'm fucked. Also had Wisconsin in the Final Four.

Ouch man... I picked La Salle as well, but that's because my pool was on ESPN, so it was Boise St./La Salle, and honestly I thought it would be Boise St., but I still get credit either way haha. At the end of the day, I never saw what other people in K-State.

I've always been skeptical of the Big East this year though man. I've got most Big East teams out early, and although I didn't have Georgetown out this early, I had them out to San Diego St.

What's your final four? I've got Michigan State/Gonzaga and Florida/Indiana...

I originally had MSU as my winner but I changed it last minute for no particular reason.

I have Michigan State and Indiana in my final four as well, and MSU in the championship.

I've got MSU winning it all, but it's hard not to put your team through when they've got a shot to pull it off.

Realistically, that Midwest bracket's the hardest, but it has nothing to do with Louisville. They might be the overall #1, but they're really the easiest out in my opinion.

The annoying thing is that it's stacked in the lower end of that bracket. Michigan State/Memphis and Duke/Creighton will be tough games tomorrow, and if it actually winds up being all chalk, Louisville will get a Duke team that just had to play Creighton and then grind it out with MSU, opposed to Louisville playing Colorado State and the SLU/Oregon winner.

I just don't see Louisville's style of play being sustainable though. I've been saying all year that while most people think their backcourt's their strength, I think it's their weakness. It's like a backcourt of Jerryd Bayless and J.R. Smith. I have Colorado State taking them out, but even if they make the Final Four, there's no way they win the whole thing.

...I did well with some upset picks [Oregon, La Salle, Ole Miss, Iowa State, Cal, and Minnesota] and damnit if Davidson wouldn't have choked away the final seconds, then I would have nailed that one as well! My final four includes Duke, Gonzaga, Indiana, and Kansas with Rock Chalk Jayhawk beating Duke in the championship game!

Nobody picked Harvard in our pool...and only one person picked Florida Gulf Coast, but they had no idea that upset would include highlights like this:

I got a full day dedicated to watching hoops since I had to miss most the Thurs/Friday games. Buffalo wings, beer and pizza for the nightcap.

Louisville looks damn good. Colorado State is shooting 65% from the field and still down by 14.

I totally forgot that Eustachy is at Colorado State now. I remember when he was at Iowa State and everybody thought of him as some kind of coaching prodigy.

For being basketball fans this forum sure blows balls at knowing jack squat about or appreciating college ball. Anybody know of some other forums where people want to talk about college hoops?

Pastner lets them walk all over him. You notice how in that game, Memphis never really boxed out but looked to tip back pretty much every rebound?

Yeah, I forgot he was there too, as well as Colton Iverson. Man, that guy really transformed his game. He was a complete stiff at Minnesota. I guess being the big fish in a small pond was good for him.

It sucks that Colorado State just started losing so much confidence when Louisville put that blitzkrieg on them. They just came out flat in the second half. It's like their body language was just saying, "okay, we accept it, we're not on their level... let's just get this over with."

    BTW - http://espn.go.com/page2/s/kluck/030429.html

    Larry's Big Night Out

"2:34 a.m. Drinks can of Natural Lite Ice. Explains nuances of the fullcourt press to a 19-year-old girl with a major in Business Systems wearing a "Hello Kitty" T-shirt."

It's pretty surprising. I watched every single game today but just didn't think to post during them. I'll be posting tomorrow, but if you're anything like me, it's hard to bring yourself to watch the next day after your team gets kicked.
