You don't have to worry about them purposefully blowing games, because they're not.

    Stares at keyboard...

OJ Mayo Sweepstakes? Are you watching the college basketball season? Don't you mean the Michael Beasley sweepsatkes? Mayo is an undersized 2 guard that does not defend. I think best case scenerio he is Ben Gordon, worst case Dujuan Wagner. If anyone remembers him.

If 6-5 is undersized for a 2-guard, I don't know what you want.

I wouldn't worry about us tanking. I think we'll do a fine job trying and failing.

    Ugh.

Lol ok haha.. i have mixed feelings right now.. i dont want them to tank it.. but lets look at it realistically we are 26-35 , and we are losing to bad teams,, so what good does it do to make the playoffs and then get swept? wouldnt u rather get a good pick maybe 5-10 pick instead of a 15-20 and get a good young player... and not another a wright? or nenad krstic? come on man this season is lost.. we gotta look ahead..
like they say we lost a fight but not the war my friend!
if we play our cards right in the off season we can become contenders next season again!
But is very important that we have a new coach, either trade carter or rj, or maybe both wouldnt be bad. Krstic boki amrstrong boone they all got to go. and just look ahead and see where it all goes.. maybe we can land an elton brand in the off season? maybe we can land KING JAMES in 2010! .. And thats why we need to look ahead and do whatever leaves us in a flexible position to make good moves in the future. this season is over for the nets, they should just let the youngters play most of the minutes
    </div>

Wow, how dumb are you? You want to get rid of young talent and try and risk it on a player who has been a cancer in LA, and one that is coming off surgery, where he is not 100%?

Do me a favor go back to family guy, your role there is perfect.

And we anit going to just give up.

Not saying I'm one to want Brand, but how in the hell can you say he is a cancer? The only negative impact he has had while on the Clippers was get injured and have that surgery. Being a cancer to a team means a player causes many problems to the team such as off court misbehavior, complaining which might cause harm to team chemistry, lack of effort on the court, etc.

Maybe it's not brand but i know there was some clipper that was a major cancer out there. If it is not him, then I stand corrected. However I anit going to give up the future for a player that is often hurt. The poster who posted that i guess has no idea of basketball, and would rather risk everything and get nothing.

It's Maggette. He's the team cancer on the LA Clippers. And...I guess Tim Thomas can be considered a cancer.

Well you don't seem so bright yourself right now. Next time you accuse a player of being something, check your facts. Brand is a superb team player.

Anyway, I don't think we should put all of our eggs in the LeBron basket, since the chances of him leaving Cleveland are slim anyway. Brand is a top 5 PF when he's 100%, but I don't think he ever will be again. He's a good addition to a team that wants to compete for the championship, but getting him AFTER trading RJ and VC won't get us anywhere. We need to hope that Dallas makes the playoffs, draft well and keep our options open. Who knows, maybe we'll have a chance to trade some young talent for a superstar like Boston did.

As for the tanking, it's just wrong and unsportsmanlike. Disgusting.

While Brand isn't a team cancer (THAT WAS AN INCREDIBLY DUMB STATEMENT JOSH_BOONE) he would be a high risk player...the reality is that he is undersized at 6'8, old at 29 years old (considering he's gonna want a long term deal) and is coming off an injury (achilles tear) that is very difficult to come back from. To me the risk isn't worth it considering how far away we are from being a championship contender. Pass.

In the future it'd be swell if you could keep your mouth shut if you know you have no clue what you're talking about, instead of insulting other members while making yourself look like the writer of The Three Musketeers.

I'm not sure why you're yelling, we've been in agreement so far.
