Really? He's actually fairly light in frame and seems more like a Kevin Garnett than some lumbering post player.

if NJ finishes 4th and we win the lottery obviously we would bump them to 5th, so they would have to finish 3rd (or 2nd) worst for us to even have a chance at the 4th pick. for that to happen N.O. and/or washington would have to make up 6 games on NJ with 12 to play to pass them, which is almost as unlikely as us winning the lottery.

if you're going to dream about 1/4 might as well dream about trading felton for durant. 1/5... maybe. at least there's a .0001%ish chance of that happening.

It has already been decided by the basketball God's that Portland will not end up with any lottery picks this year or next. Why fight it?

I want Bradley Beal with one of our picks. IMO he's the best guard in this draft with the most upside.

Elliot is undersized too. Matthews is too when you consider wingspan. It doesn't matter that much.

Beal is okay, I wouldn't hate him, but I don't love him either.

He's Dwyane Wade size, maybe a little bigger. We'll see how he measures out, but I think his athleticism makes up for it. He's a deadly shooter and a good defender. I like him over Rivers and Lamb at the 2.

If the Nets lose tonight in LA and against us tomorrow night and things work out, this pick could slide down to #4 again!!!!!!!!!!

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :MARIS61:

that's false. unfortunately as previously noted 4th worst only has a 10% chance at the 4th pick. 4th is THE most likely spot to get bumped back, and it comes at a 13% greater chance at losing the pick (NJ winning the lottery) than 5th.

root for 5th worst (74% chance at 5-7), or even 7th worst would be fine (84% chance at 7-8).

What I'm really hoping for: With our own pick, we get luck and move into the lottery - - but we lose and get the 3rd selection in the draft (BEAL). I don't even want the number 1 pick, because we'll just continue with our bad luck, pick Davis, and he'll go down with knee problems or never pan out.

Then, we trade NJ's pick (probably coming in at 6 or 7 if we get bumped into the lottery) to Boston for Rondo and our own 2013 number 1 pick (lottery protected).

With Rondo, we now don't have to worry about the wet dream of DWill signing with us. Just not going to happen. As much as I am a huge Nash fan - let's face it, he's too old.

Once we nab Beal and trade for Rondo, we focus in on signing Hickson, bringing over Freeland and signing Flynn as a back-up PG. Flynn won't hurt us when he comes in off the bench. Quite the opposite - he'll run the offense, bring speed into the second unit, and won't turn the ball over. Pefect back-up PG behind Rondo. And if we can't trade Batum for a better SF, then we sign him.

Leaves us with a problem at Center. But there are not many teams with great centers anyway. Let Hickson start at Center and keep LA at the PF. Batum at SF and Wallace/Beal at the 2 with Rondo/Flynn at the point. If Crawford opts-in, then he is intergrated as a "Vinne Johnson" off the bench and nothing more. If he's hot, he plays. When he cools off, he's on the bench. Finally, we probably look at keeping Pryz for some stability at back-up Center and overall toughness and locker room leadership.

I want the #1 pick, regardless. Of course, it's not my knees that are at stake. :)

And the Bobcats already own our 2013 pick (top-12 protected?)

we are currently 11th which has 1.2% chance of winning 3rd, if rondo were available there would be a bidding war and he would go for WAY more than the 7th pick + 1 future non-lottery pick, and we wouldn't own our 2013 first rounder (would make the playoffs) and can't trade our 2014 anyway.

how is signing Dwill a wet dream compared to that lol?
