I did just read that DeAngelo and the Rangers are continuing talks, but it's now 50/50 re-sign or trade him. Just like last time DeAngelo being tough it seems.

They seem to have had talks with Vegas about him.

I am looking forward to seeing what Gorton does tomorrow. Do we keep Strome and DeAngelo? Who is the LD added to pair with Trouba? Do we sign another C if we keep Strome? I expect some action.

Wonder if the Blues would trade Dunn. Probably not with AP likely leaving.

They only would trade Dunn if they decided to rebuild. Given he's 23 and his game is made for the playoffs it's going to cost a lot to get him. I don't see that team doing anything when they lose Pietrangelo. Their farm sucks and they have little youth on the team. For example, they would probably want Miller and Chytil for him. Pass.

DeKeyser is a very good defensive defenseman. He is coming off back surgery which should lower his value. He has 2 years left on his contract, is a lefty and only makes 4.5. Detroit sucks ass. I don't think it would take much to get him.

Yeah, no way they move Dunn with the team they have now, even if Pietrangelo comes back. DeKeyser isn't a bad idea, he's pretty solid. Vegas may be looking to move Martinez i saw. Perhaps Gorton looks at someone like Brodie or Stetcher.

He hasn't been good in years. Like I thought, nobody is going to rush in to save the Lightning and Islanders with their pathetic cap situations.

Got the expansion exposure guy done with Kinkaid so that's out of the way.

Yup, he goes to the AHL and adds a vet down there, and covers the expansion draft. Now go get a LD and maybe a C.

Bitetto only needs 19 games next year to become expansion eligible so that might be their plan with him. I think it's going to be Kinkaid/Bitetto/Lemieux and either Strome or Howden on the list.

If they sign all the RFA's there looks to be about 5m left.

Let's hope Pietrangelo doesn't sign in Vegas so they come calling for TDA. Give me Krebs and at least a 2nd. Rangers loved Krebs but moved up in the draft and had to take Kakko.

It would be very surprising if he didn't sign in LV. They cleared cap space for him, and the Blues moved on. Seems likely to get done today. Hall still out there as well. Two biggest FA's still available on day two.

I have to think the Rangers do something today. Unless they are punting on the season and waiting to clear over 13.2 mill in cap space next season (8.9 in dropping cap penalties for Hank/Shatt buyouts and 4.3 for Smith expiring contract), I cannot see this D starting the season.

Johnson, Miller, Smith, and Hajek are the current options needing to play 2 to round out LD. I don't see it. Things have to happen I think. Plus still not sure about Strome, and adding a C maybe (that may depend on Strome).
