First of all, the free agents have not made some new decision to take money over winning, it has been that way 98% of the time FOREVER in sports, so don't act like this is something new this summer. Second of all, even if they cared about winning a SC over money, which they don't and haven't forever, why would they come here with a terrible WAY in over his head Pres and GM to play for a team that has no clue how to win a Cup. After his trade DL, and now so far today whiffing on player after player, it is crystal clear Drury is lost and, in a job, he has zero business being in, as I said from DAY ONE when he was promoted by Dolan and Sather. The Trouba thing is a total mess because Drury is in over his head. Guys we should have targeted/did target are gone because Drury is in over his head. I will add, they won't even be ready in 3 years. We hear year after year all these wonderful kids the Rangers have, where are they not just with the Rangers but in the whole NHL? The Rangers have not drafted/produced all these great kids, so that formula is a loser out of the gate for this organization. Once again, the correct answer is adding the few kids that are good/will be good to the lineup and have a balance. Cuylle, Othmann, and I am sure Perrault will all fit into that class now/soon I expect.
