Jordan Hamilton has turned into quite the shooter.

He was a Blazer pick that was sent to Denver in that horrid Felton deal.

Who? Jordan Hamilton was a Dallas pick who was part of the 3-way trade for Felton, meaning he was only a "Blazer" for a few minutes, and only because Denver wanted him. He was never on Portland's radar, and was a Blazer only because the trade was already agreed to by all three teams.

    Summer league stats.

    http://www.nba.com/summerleague/2013/statistics/las_vegas/index.html

Valanciunas is the obvious MVP, but nobody really had a "wow" of previous years. Kind of goes in line with the consensus of what a weak draft this really was, and although McCollum is already taking shit from this board, take a look at some of the other first and second-year guards, and their stats.

Overall, a weak summer league lessened because some teams played guys from the ABA days, and are still in the 'tournament'.

PJ Tucker was drafted in 2006, ffs, yet he's starting for the PHX team.

I'm not bitter at all about it. I just find it funny that PHX is playing two starters in the Morris twins, as well as PJ Tucker, who started 45 games, along with a bunch of other veterans. They have also said more than once on NBATV that Hornacek wanted to win the summer league to restore a "winning attitude" on the team. Hell, he's even coaching the summer league team, and has two of his veteran starters playing in it.

Previous summer leagues didn't have stacked rosters like these, and most veterans don't play after their second year. The good ones don't play after their first year.

The Morris twins aren't starters and PJ Tucker sucks.

I looked at all of our summer league boxscores, and just two players ended up with a positive +/-, with +7 and +2. Guess who they were.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was Barton and Claver.

Although 3rd of my guesses would be TRob, he had alot of big rebs/plays when we were on our comebacks to force OT after being down big.

Markieff started 32 games. Tucker started 45 games. Morris is in his 3rd year, started over 1/3 of PHX's games, yet is on the summer league roster. Marcus Morris started over 20 games last year.

    It's embarrassing.

    Matthews started last summer.

Freeman was too, in 06 or 07.

"Surprises and disappointments of Summer League"
Agree with most of them that I saw. Under "surprises"

    Under "disappointments":

Disappointment or not, I still am a fan of what Wroten can grow up to be.

And I'm a fan of the parallel universe Blazers where Brandon Roy's and Greg Oden's knees are pristine, and where we didn't pick Nolan Smith.
