Definitely looks like Meyers has worked on the hook. Release point looks much higher from what I remember. Looks like CJ is should be able to at least get the guys into sets as a back-up pg. Just the simple things like from :09-:17 how he changed paces and smoothly created a passing angle into Freeland was an indication of that.

Any mention of defense or rebounding from him yet?

. @CJMcCollum says he'll be the team's primary ball handler during summer league

    Casey Holdahl ‏@CHold 40s
Told @CJMcCollum he should sign with @adidas because @nike doesn't pay same attention to their Portland players. His response

    Casey Holdahl ‏@CHold 42s
    "I'll make them pay attention."

Dame says he's going to Summer League for support more than anything else, also notes a lot of guards already on roster #RipCity

Lillard says to expect more craftiness in his game this season, specifically mentions the floater #RipCity

YES YES YES YES YES YES This was the one thing I want to see in his game for this year. Makes him twice the player

Dame's situation reminds me of BRoy back in the summer of 07 when he was itching to play in the summer league with LA and GO but Nate wouldn't let him. That's about when Roy became the team's #1 player (winning lotto, getting rid of ZBo, watchimg draft workout of GO and KD, supporting the guys in summer league etc).

Similarly, this has become Dame's team now.

I'm surprised the Blazers haven't censored that! Although, to be fair, amidst all the turnovers and clanked shots, Leonard does hit a hook shot.

Spurs were a jump shooting team. They relied heavily on threes. They nearly won it all by doing that. Yet Memphis was primarily post oriented team that couldn't shoot worth shit, and got swept by the Spurs team that just packed the paint.

It's a different NBA. Teams that live and die by the jumper should not be discounted.

Ehn, if Meyers Leonard turns into Dirk Nowitzki, we shouldn't bemoan the fact that he isn't Tyson Chandler. We just promote his talent, let it grow, then trade his ass if he doesn't fit with the plan. It is what it is.

That was pretty much the only hole in his game offensively last season. Hopefully he's also working on a bit of "stay with your man" defense. I don't expect The Glove, but a little more tightness with his rotations will help us immensely.

As most of NBA relaxed, some Blazers spent June in the gym

Lillard on Wright, Robinson: "I like them. I think it’s made us a better team on paper. We’ve still got to put it together on the floor."

    Mike Tokito ‏@mtokito 6m
Terry Stotts on #Blazers roster: "We will be deeper, but we won’t be as experienced. It’s a little bit of a tradeoff.”
