Mid major guards have worked well for us and Cameron Payne looks like the next CJ/Lillard type. I would be all for trading up to get this guy.
Let's put together the MurraySt/Lehigh/WeberSt backcourt!

Maybe trade cash for a 2nd rounder and draft Tyler Harvey.. Add Eastern Washington to the mix!

I'm curious what people would think about drafting Robert Upshaw with our pick. Very high risk, but he seems like he could be the next Andre Drummond. I was way down on Drummond because of his immaturity and lack of drive for basketball. But, he seems to have overcome that with time. Maybe Upshaw needs the same. Looks like a real difference maker on the defensive end.

Why was he kicked out of not one but two programs mid-season?

I think there are better players to bet on... He was essentially kicked off of 2 different college teams. Not a strong track record there.

Yes, otherwise he'd be a lottery pick.

Notice there is no comma after "why" in my question. I'm asking for the reason he was kicked out, not whether or not he was.

Ah, I never was very goodly at English.

The first time it was some form of drug use. The removal from UW was never stated. He did spend some time in John Lucas' drug rehab. Our president might have smoked more weed than this guy for all we know.

    6'5" with a 7'0" wingspan.

Bruno Caboclo at 6'8" with a 7'7" wingspan.

What are they feeding these kids in Brazil? oO

One type of player we lack is an athletic 4 who can defend any frontcourt position. Sort of what we hoped T-Rob could be. Turns out there are a few like that.
One player who is projected to go right around our pick is Montrezl Harrell, and I would be very happy to get him. He looks the ideal kind of energy guy, and would complement Meyers nicely.

He's a bit short, but he makes up for it by having ridiculously humungoid arms and a nasty streak.

A bit further down the draft, the following players will be available: Jordan Mickey, who has torn up the combine (he had 12 blocks in two games) and is still young, declaring after his sophomore season

Probably firmly in the second round (but rising) we find Richaun Holmes, who has also looked good, both in Chicago and in the Portsmouth Invitational. He comes from the MAC (like Gary "Shaq of the Mac" Trent) but hasn't seemed fazed against people from bigger conferences.

Finally, possibly undrafted, we have Branden Dawson. He needs to get some offense, and he's undersized, but ridiculously athletic. Could he be a Bo "not Travis" Outlaw type?

If (a) the plan is to maximize cap space for free agency, and
    (b) we don't trade up or
    (c) we get a second-round pick
then my nomination for draft and stash (as he's said he wants to stay at least another year in Europe) is Cedi Osman (who seems to have something against Real Madrid's big-name PGs)

I hereby christen him "The Turkish Brent Barry"
