It's just that some Magic fans are some retarded that they think the Magic will go all the way or that Dwight should automatically win the Rebounding Title because he was 2nd last season and is getting 20rb games. Through the whole 82 game season, he isn't going to be able to put up consistent rebounding numbers because teams will be able to counter him. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting d-money12:</div><div class="quote_post">the 12 hurt him by 0.1 last night but the 24 helped him to 17.1 17.1 PPG 13.6 RPG 1.94 BPG looks like an allstar appearance</div> I'm surprised he isn't avg. more blks since he's doing good on the boards.
CLos, i think that the blocks will come along, besides, i think that darko takes a lot of those blocks away from dwight but i could care less i mean, if it aint broke dont fix it
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Pakman:</div><div class="quote_post">But what they were talking about was Dwight tipping it to himself.</div> No, I know. It just reminded me of Bargnani. He's not strong enough to box out players on a regular basis, so he uses his long arms to tip the ball to the point guards.
tipping it is not considered a rebound, the player the ball is tipped to gets credit for the board...dwight gets like 2 of those every game to jameer or grant...if it were a rebound, you wouldnt see as many triple doubles by guards, because a lot of the boards they get, are tipped from the big man a la dwight to jameer

It's not like he does anything special where you can really counter it. He is getting boxed out now, he just jumps over everyone and gets the boards. I remember last night Wilcox and Petro were both boxing him out, he jumped right in the middle of them and wrestled the rebound away from them. He has proven he could get a large amount of rebounds over a 82 game season. I expect him to at least stay over 13 rpg the entire season. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I'm surprised he isn't avg. more blks since he's doing good on the boards.</div> Teams are starting to go more at him and he has never really been a very good one on one defender(unlike Darko-that's where Darko shines). Most of his blocks come from help defense. He hasn't even really been able to help out much on defense, because Brian Hill got on him for over pursuing and leaving his man wide open for a layup or dunk.
boozer had only 7 last night and that drops him to 12.4 Dwight 13.6 Carlos 12.4 Bosh 12.3 Chandler 11.9
Man, Tyson Chandler has done really well this season. I'm surprised he isn't scoring more pts for them. He would be a good option along with Paul and Peja.
ive always like tyson...he was in a bad situation in chicago cause scott skiles doesnt know how to utilize big players...ben wallace's numbers are way down this year

(usually in foul trouble) I've always like the way he played though
Well, I know Tyson Chandler isn't the go to guy on offense but he's still a decent offensive player for putbacks.
I'm not worried about Carlos Boozer because he is one of the most inconsistent players in the NBA and with his past of injuries, I doubt he will be able to stay this good for 82 games. Another player that doesn't scare me is Chris Bosh. He has had a good season so far but I don't think he is consistent enough on the boards to challenge Dwight for the title. The only players that really have a shot in my mind are Tyson Chandler (athletic and big a lot like Dwight) and Kevin Garnett because he is one of the most consistent rebounders and beat Dwight out last year.
so 18 and 16 last night huh...his stats look like this PPG-17.2 RPG-13.5 BPG-2.0 oh yeah btw dwight has now played in 183 consecutive regular season games, and started 182...i wonder what the magic record for most consecutive games played is?
Why didn't he start for one game?? How dare they not start Dwight?? lol But yeah seriously that's a big plus for Magic fans to see that at least one Magic player plays consecutively.
I think the one game Dwight didn't start was because he missed a practice or a team meeting or something like that. It was last season I believe.
