Tyrus Thomas is listed as a probably for the 2007 draft. On nbadraft.net the rockets have the first pick in the second round. Is that true or what?
well yah thats because new york is giving us their second round pick from that mo taylor trade. in 2007 draft we should try to get aleix ajinca because he will be a big time shot blocker being 7ft and has 7'6" wingspan and a 36inch vertical leap. So he will be a big time shot blocker slash rebounder and his offensive game is developing so we should try to get this guy to pair him up with yao as the biggest frontline in nba also he is said to have a great jumper so he could get some nice open looks when yao gets double teams and take pressure off of yao
I don't know much about 2007, but Rondo would be the best fit for this team because he can score, rebound(averages 7 for a 6-1 gaurd), and can dish it out.
yah the rockets should acquire another first round pick if possible and draft rondo with the higher one and draft a wing with the lower one but dats a pipe dream to think we can acquire another first round draft pick
also if our pick is down in the twenties we could draft tiago splitter a 6-11 pf/c with good body strength and great speed but not the most explosive guy but explosive but he is a great one on one defender exemplified when he shut down fran vazques orlando 12th pick this year. He is also working hard on his shot long mid and free throws. People compare him to a better defensive pau gasol. what do you guyz think???
The Nets offered one of theirs and Jackson for Swift, but "the Great Stromile" surely warrants more than that . Man every basketball expert you watch or read about all just hate Swift as a player. I hear guys like Rick Kamla talking about Swift, and he hates the man's game. A lot of commentators also like to pick on Swift's poor basketball judgement too. The Rockets management needs to bite the bullet, admit they were wrong, and dump this guy. They should take whatever they can get for him.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting tinyballer:</div><div class="quote_post">Yah having another explosive wing would be great!! and rodney carney fits dat but he is not exactly consistent or liking to play evident by his coach starting him on the bench and if luther head can develop in to a gilbert arenas type of guy on the pg than we could draft another wing</div> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">also if our pick is down in the twenties we could draft tiago splitter a 6-11 pf/c with good body strength and great speed but not the most explosive guy but explosive but he is a great one on one defender exemplified when he shut down fran vazques orlando 12th pick this year. Plus, I doubt if he would be able to contribute very much right away, which would defeat the purpose of trading for another pick that would add depth.
i never said luther would be as good i just said they if he can develop into a pg like that but at a different level. Tiago will not go top five and his draft stock has been crashing because of his contract with his team and the unknown buyout situation but if the rockets are sure they can get him out of their then its good. AND wtf are u talking about with stromile... Stromile has just been showing the rockets wut he can do and van gundy has finally been happier with him meaning the rockets are waiting and seeing how he turns out meaning hes a lot better than u think. Wait till he bounces back and shoves that bullet up ur a$$. What are you a nets fan waiting for us to givve him away not going to happen.

Isn't that why they traded away Mike James? The only reason why an Arenas type of pg is effective is because he is such a prolific scorer. Head has no such potential of ever being a scorer like Arenas. The JBB draft has Splitter going at 6 in the 2006 draft, the Probasketball draft has him at 5, Hoopshype has him at 5 and Hoopsvibe at 5. There is an issue with his lack of a buyout clause, but because his Euro team is already stacked with talent, it shouldn't be a problem. As far as Stromile goes, you must be smarter than alot of NBA experts who strongly disagree with you. If averages of 9 points, 5 boards and 0.75 blocks really impress you, then by all means, keep him. He's had about games this season where he has played up to expectation, and the fact that Yao's out should be lifting his game, but it's not. It's funny because after every game, you guys keep thinking he's going to "break-out" or "turn the corner". The fact is, he would fit perfectly into the Nets' running offense, and Kidd would turn him into a decent player, that's why Nets fans want him, although I don't think he's worth a first-rounder and Jackson. He fits terribly in the Rockets slow, half-court offense. Swift just doesn't have the desire, work-ethic or bball IQ to shove a bullet up anybody's @ss,
virve you know what i find funny??? i find funny how pathetic u reli are and how little understanding u reli have. First Luther Head is a similar type of athlete and has a similar type of game at the same stage in development when they both got out in their rookie season except that arenas has a lot more of the ball becuz he was on the warriors. Luther Head has already showed us flashes of what he can be and so our ur so called NBA all whenever the rockets play raving him. Secondly i admit i am wrong about splitter because in most mocks excluding nbadraf.net is saying he is top 5 and buy out no problem. Thirdly why the hell would we take a thirty year old guy doin nothing on a team that is weak on centers and powerforwards for a young 25year old who can run and jump and his salary isn't even that high. All he needs to do in our system to earn a paycheck is to make a few plays and grab a couple rebounds and hopefully become more consistent. He is growing into his role and becoming a solid role player for yao and mcgrady so no way are we going to trade him for Mark Jackson.
Yah but the thing is Arenas while doing that forces the defence to play a lot tighter on him so he can also create for his teamamtes. Mike james could not create for anyone but himself. If luther does learn to also create for others it would be great. ANd i was wrong about splitter you were right he is top 5 pick on all sights except for nbadraft.net at number12. Well many of ur nba experts also said that yao will never score 20 pts in his career and now hes averaging nearly 20pts at 19pts. Stromile is brought here to lean to play defence and rebound hes been doing that better even giving us better offensive production. Now all he needs is consistency which is possible to gain but if he doesn't start to gain it this season it is doubtful he will ever gain it. He is worth a lot more than jackson and first rounder because jackson is nothing but a fat pf on the nj bench a team who is sorely lacking a good pf or center. ANd your first round pick is gonna be in the 20s so no way. Plus stromile is going to prove y'all wrong and don't go back and start praising him once he starts to understand our system of basketball.
Yao Deke J.Howard Stro TMac DA L.Head Skip Sura Mooch The immediate need excluding any trades, would still be a back up wing. Someone that can play 2 or 3 behind TMac and even alongside TMac. R. Carney really seems to be a great fit. Another big man would be nice but unless injury Rox should be OK next yr. I just really hope CD doesn't grab any soft player. This team needs some attitude and aggressiveness.
It'd be nice if we could get these three players Josh Boone Rodney Carney James White boone can take over the garbage job alongside yao ming and block shots since he has more of that attitude that sayz i am going to eat you up. Carney is a guy that plays like vince carter when hes on he can go for 40 when hes off hes off and he has the talent to play defence but hasn't learned it yet seems like perfect guy for jvg defensively talented. James White=great body atheletisim explosiveness quickness can be our huscle garbage guy that would be our ryan bowen but has handles and can shoot but doubt he would be avaliable in second round unless our pick is high second
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Jan. 9 -- I’ve formulated a resolution. Never recommend Stromile Swift to your loyal readers. He's officially a bust. I'm not saying we've got another Michael Olowokandi kind of scenario here, but Swift is officially nothing more than a mediocre player. It was one thing to say that he never really got the official starting nod in Memphis. Then it was another to say that he needed some time to adjust to the new system in Houston. And now? There's nothing left. He's mediocre, and only fantasy worthy in deeper leagues. He's officially in the same class as Joe Smith, Christian Laettner, and Antonio McDyess. Fare thee well, 'Stro. We hardly knew ye. </div> Stro will never learn.
Umm if you are so smart i am sure some one would have asked you to be GM but it looks like u are still stuck on a fan forum theres a reason they signed stro and when he learns and helps us to the championship you will be eating your words
