Not any more. My only interest in him was wanting him rather than LMA. Now that we don't have LMA, the issue has resolved itself without the need for Monroe to insert himself into the picture.

The same can be applied to Love...although to a lesser extent. I'd still entertain the idea, but would only make the trade if we gave up table scraps to get him.

Notice how much better Detroit is since they got rid of Monroe? That's the answer

I think that's a bad comparison though, Detroit had two, young, and dominant centers playing side by side, loose one, and suddenly that guy that was splitting 20 points and 20 rebounds a game is now getting all them.

It's Not just about Drummond's stats though, just them being an overall better team.
I don't think at this point I'd take Monroe for free, honestly.

I guess you were meaning the TEAM there though....
but one could also argue that shroder stepping out could be part of the success as well.

I would do it. Kidd is the problem. He's a horrible coach.

I would send Kaman/Leonard/Harkless for Monroe & MCW. This is a major "buy low, sell high" kind of move, and it could be enough to push us up into the 5th-6th spot.

    Dame/MCW
    CJ/Hendo
    Aminu/Crabbe
    Vonleh/Davis
    Monroe/Plumlee

That's a pretty solid rotation. MCW is tall enough that you can play him with Dame or CJ.

I don't see how there's any chance Milwaukee accepts a deal like that, but if they would, then you do it in a heartbeat. I'm sure the Bucks have an idea that Monroe still has pretty decent value league-wide.

They said they would entertain offers. I don't think they meant they would trade them for 30 cents on the dollar. If they would do that deal with just Monroe then I am on board. I don't think they move both at the same time.

Some of the trade ideas you guys come up with are so unrealistic that they wouldn't even happen in 2K!

We don't have to match salaries since we are way under the cap, right? If not I doubt the Bucks want/need Kaman in any deal.
They also have plenty of Harkless type players.

What they need is a big who can shoot from the outside and a PF with size to go with Henson. Then they need to move Parker back to SF with the Greek Freak. .

They need Meyers for his outside shooting and Vonleh for his size at PF. That is more than fair for Monroe.

If the goal is to clear his salary, we are one of the few teams that can make it happen. Either by absorbing the entire thing, or by sending expiring deals.

If teams know that they are unhappy, they won't get nearly the value.

That's only the case of the player is about to become a free agent

What if they're trying to clear Monroe off their books so they can make a run at a big name this summer?

As much as I like the idea of having a player like Monroe who can score in the post, I'm not sure he's the player we need. I mean, isn't he basically Al Jefferson? He can get points in the paint, but he might drag us down in other areas. Does he make his teammates any better on either end? I'm not convinced that he does. He just has a good post scoring game. We need someone who can be a threat on the block, but I don't think it's worth what we'd have to give up to get him.

Sounds crazy, but I'd rather have Bayless than MCW. Bayless would accept scrap minutes off the bench, and is shooting 41.6% from 3 with 3.5 attempts per game. Fits our chemistry and system much better than MCW.

btw, we want shooters, they don't have them (that they're willing to give up).

How about Kaman/Leonard/Harkless for Monroe & MCW & Bayless
and we immediately ship MCW off for a draft pick?
