Houston doesn't have that "buckle down" mentality instead they get chippy and try to win with flops and initiating contact.

Houston: Lazy, no defense, flop a lot...

    Portland: Resilient, hustle, hard workers...

New name to think about: Tyreke Evans
I think he'd be a perfect fit here as a backup PG/SF. Could play with any 2 of our 4 guards. 2 years left at a reasonable amount. He's only 26 so he fits our age group. There's some rumblings he might get dealt. Maybe we could help facilitate an Anderson trade so that we can give up less to get Tyreke.

Damn I didn't realize he was out that long. That that just makes him more gettable IMO. Would be great to have him next year at a bargain. Something like this? Screenshot_2016-02-11-02-25-16.png

Do you only propose three team trades? Aren't they relatively rare?

I don't think I'd do that trade though. Evans is always injured and Tolliver is absolute garbage.

We'd likely jump in on an Anderson deal. We could do it straightup, it doesnt matter. Tolliver wouldn't play and if he did, it would just be replacing Meyers.

Tyreke played 72 and 79 games in the past 2 years. Played 60+ the 2 years before. We'd have the depth to survive without him if he did miss a stretch of time.

Could you imagine adding Tyreke and someone like Horford for next year? We'd be contenders, without any extra additions.

Even then those 2 would still leave us with $10M+ in cap space. You could convince Pau Gasol to come here, or go after Joe Johnson to come off the bench, or even go after Durant (We'd have to trade away Davis and Amimu).

I'll pass, Evans can't stay healthy. I prefer we keep Harkless and see his continued growth. I really wanna see us use Kamans expiring and land an older point guard and a small contract player. I'd like to get Miller out of Minny.

Harkless has no chance at ever being as good as Evans and the two years prior played in 72 and 79 games respectively. And he'll be super cheap. Aiming to acquire Andre Miller caliber players will get us nowhere.

Evans needs the ball to be effective, Harkless doesn't. We should never ever ever trade for a player who is HURT unless we are getting some crazy good pick with him packaged in. We need to focus on small deals right now because the teams chemistry is off the charts right now. Small pieces now, big pieces in the summer.

I don't get why some people prefer a 3rd stringer who doesnt need the ball (another term for can't do much with the ball) vs a starter who does need the ball (another term for skilled with the ball)... It doesn't make sense.

And Evans can spot up (shooting 39% from 3), defend, set up an offense, and rebound, so that notion is wrong anyway.

Didn't you just say you want another PG? A PG needs the ball. Evans could be that PG, and he fits even better next to CJ and Dame than most because he's 6'6, strong, and he can gaurd 3 positions.

We need a backup PG to play like 10-12 minutes a night to help move the second unit along because CJ has problems setting up an offense. Besides talk about Evans is moot he can't contribute to our cause this season and who knows what he will be like post surgery? We are one of the hottest teams in the NBA, we shouldn't be trading contributors for someone who MIGHT be good next season, especially when that position isn't a huge need.

    Right now our needs are:

    1) Downlow post presence

    2) Backup point guard

Unless we can pry Z-Bo and Chalmers from Memphis on the cheap, our likely path is gonna be wait until draft night/FA to address needs.

Why do we need a low post presence? Golden State does just fine without one. Why would we have to have a PG only good enough to pay 10-12 minutes? Doesn't make sense. Trading contributors? You mean Meyers and Harkless? They're fringe roration players. Evans is a very good starter that we could bring off the bench. Even if he declines a little bit, he'll still be way more valuable than Harkless or Leonard.

I think we should trade Gerald. He's most likely going to be elsewhere next season and trading him would open up more minutes for harkless/Vonleh. Let's be realistic here. If we make the playoffs, it will most likely be as a 7th or 8th seed and were not beating the Warriors or the Spurs. I'd rather get something for Henderson, no matter how much I've actually grown to like him. It's just in the best interest of the franchise moving forward.

I haven't seen him play much, so don't know if he's worth the gamble.
But...Aminu for Shabazz/Martin/Draft Pick? Obviously we don't want Martin. But he could be traded again or cut.
