Haha, I hate him as well, always have. Just was looking through their roster with poaching in mind, and he seemed like a likely candidate. Because I hate Barea even more. Much, much more.

I want Dieng. I would love to get Rubio and Deng from them. Those two guys would really shore up our bench, but I'm sure Minny still thinks of Rubio as some kind of star

    Hire a coach for Leonard

Trade Will Barton or ? for Patty Mills

    Trade for a defensive 2 or 3

    Find a defensive coach
Find an offensive systems man (Think Pete Carril, Tex Winter). Come to think of it, either one of those guys could fill both roles, who is the new blood in this role? There has to be some.

I think Bricky would be great as a backup though. He plays good defense, he runs the break, and he passes the ball extremely well. I just find it hilarious that he's going to get some big contract.

Thad Young would be great pickup. I wouldn't worry about him or TRob having a minute jam, with our bench production that should be the least of our worries. Cross that bridge when we come to it.

The harder part will be meeting Phillies asking price. I don't think they'll accept just expiring contracts.

I don't think Philly is going to deal Thad. I think there's a reason why he's the only guy left on that team. He's still very young at 25 and they're going to need someone with a little experience on that team. I don't think Thad is going anywhere.

No chance they move Dieng, though. If they're rebuilding, why would they move young pieces? Have to look at the pieces they wouldn't want around in a rebuild. Budinger, Martin. Most everyone else outside of Pek is expiring.

That's the problem though, they have Pek. I don't think they can move him with that contract. So if they move Love, they're going to need pieces in a rebuild. I agree that Dieng would be a hard sell, but center is not a position of need for them.

I've always liked Budinger game when he is healthy for a 3&D backup.

I actually really like Pek as well, that guy is an enormous beast down low. A freakishly big bruiser. Problem with him is his defense, he needs to be paired with a lanky defensive PF. If the Pelicans could get him that would be the best twin tower duo in the league.

If I'm Minnesota I think I try to do a Love deal on draft night. I don't think Kevin Love is a superstar player though, I guess it depends how you evaluate him. Look at the gold mine Utah got for Deron or Denver got for Carmello. That is the type of trade I'd try to get. It would be awesome to see the TWolves improve to become a playoff team next year after dealing Love.

If Chicago can't get anything with their free agent money, and Minny starts blowing up that team, I'd look at taking on Pek's contract. Him with Noah would a great tandem. His contract isn't that enormous, its very similar to Batum's. With the cap going up the next few years it'll be an even better value as long as Pek's performance doesn't decline.

Yeah I agree zero chance Minnesota moves Dieng. Right now he is their second most valuable player after Love.

I would love to see either Ariza or Afflalo come off our bench, not sure either would want to be a bench player. would give up Wright for either. Hawes would be a solid upgrade, but don't think he would want to come off the bench. Bradley would be a solid back-up 1 or 2 guard, and I like Luke Ridnour, he would be solid as a backup PG

    PG - Lillard / Ridnour
    SG - Matthews / Barton / Afflalo
SF - Batum / Ariza or Pierce
    PF - LA / T-Rob
    C - Rolo / Hawes

Really, I think signing a back-up PG and another big will be about all we need.

The more I see things dissolve between Love and the Timberwolves. I hope Olshey has something up his sleeve to help deal with Lamarcus.

Actually making the playoffs, which each players wants, helps. We did, and have a good core around him going forward. Minnesota never has and has a mediocre core.

Vince carter is 37 and still has a ton of athleticism.

just because carter can still dunk doesn't mean he hasn't lost athleticism.
Duncan can still dunk.. Kobe can also... Hell even Andre Miller can dunk.
Yet all of the players I listed and the one you listed have lost a ton of their athleticism.
They're no longer the players they once were. yet still get it done due to IQ.
