    What do we loose?
Mo & Watson is gone regardless
McCullum has potential to be a "nice" 6th man at maximum. Jack replaces him & is a better fit IMO.
Wallace is better than Wright & Claver.
So you have LMA & Freeland for Exum & Vonleh. If we can get a solid PF to start for a year or two (ie - Gooden), I think Blazers would be better long term with Exum & Vonleh.

I think Exum has highest likelihood of being a multi-year all-star/superstar. I would LOVE to see Lillard & Exum playing next to each other.

It's an interesting take, but I worry about not having an anchor on offense. Gooden's... good, but I feel like there will be a ton of pressure on Dame for about two years with that scenario.

Gooden played in 16 games during the 2012-13 season, and 22 games last season, and started none of those games.

Yet now he's going to start at PF for the Blazers? I'm assuming Olshey wants to keep his job, right?

And yet he backed it up with stats. Seriously, Gooden as our starting PF puts Dame under enormous pressure. The offense dies without a major rework.

Would you be comfortable having a guy who has played 38 games the last two seasons, with none as a starter, replacing LMA in the line-up? I know you're trying to bait me, because it's what you do, but let's keep it to basketball.

Yes or no. Answer the question.

Gooden as a starter for the Bucks or Sixers would make no sense, let alone for a team whose owner has told the GM that he wants to win now.

It's a stupid idea, and if I'm the bad guy for trying to inject some reality into trade talks, so be it. I'm used to that role. :pimp:

Edited to add - I wasn't slamming your post in my response, because you were doubting the move, too. I just didn't feel like quoting that entire stupid trade idea again.

I agree with you. Just my opinion on your posts. I'm off some of the meds making me so angry, so I notice it more now when others are

At the least, if a gun was to our heads and we had to make that deal, we could at least sign Greg Monroe

I love the Blazers, and can't help myself. None of us here are "normal," anyhow.

I'm in favor of any trade that involves shipping LaMarcus out. We don't need his mid range jump shots. He shoots under 40% of them....worst shot in basketball.

Everyone on this forum is well aware youd trade LMA for a bag of chips. He shoots well over 40% from that shot you hate.

Contrast LA's shooting that to a true star, Dirk Nowitski, the guy Stotts wants LA to be. He's much higher in every catagory.

    Dirk/LA

    0-3
    .778/.675

    3-10
    .578/.364

    10-16
    .485/.388

    16-3pt
    .518/.44

This doesn't even touch the fact that Dirk is a good 3pt shooter and LA doesn't shoot 3s at all. Why do LaMarcus lovers ignore these terrible numbers? Just look at his pathetic numbers 3-10, what kind of PF shoots 36% from that range?

its funny I think the same thing about LeMarcus haters. I still don't think the open 18f is a bad shot because it spreads the floor and in the NBA today an open shot is a good shot. but of course if you compare him to the greatest shooting big man ever he isn't going to be as good because DIRK IS THE GREATEST SHOOTING BIGMAN EVER!
If you want to look at career avgs
    Dirk/LA
    0-3
    .641/.694

    3-10
    .413/.438

    10-16
    .472/.412

    16+
    .477/.421

So whats that show? LA has over his career been better from close then Dirk and dirk is better from farther away and that wouldn't' shock anyone because Dirk is again, the greatest shooting big man ever. Now lets take LA's career avgs and put them up against the league avg of last year.

    League/LA
    0-3
    .635/.694
    3-10
    .392/.438
    10-16
    .401/.412
    16+
    .395/.421

Looks like LA smokes the league avg in every category.
