I think some people here are worried about being fleeced for OG because they value him more than I do. If Toronto didn't like the offer from Portland, they can take a hike.
Is a sign and trade not an option? Maybe it would take too long to do, or maybe the contract is all written up for a last minute approval? Asking for the deaf.
So to me it comes down to if it's worst case scenario and Sharpe and Murray are gone is Daniels better for us than OG or vice versa?
For me I'm super cool with EBEC and 7 for OG but I'm not cool with losing any of our rotation players with the pick for him. So Hart, Nas and Justise are off limits. If Masai demands one of them then we move on... hopefully.
Basically, a sign and trade with a current draft pick never happens. The draft comes before free agency, so we'd have to pick for them, hope ant wants to go there, and if it all falls apart, hope we like the player we picked for them. It do3snt happen.
OG scores better (or much better) but Dyson Daniels can play point guard or at least be a secondary passer and 2nd unit point guard. They both play defense and rebound well. I would take Dyson Daniels.
Any discussions with TOR, and they want more than #7/EBEC. It will be a test of wills. Hopefully Joe is getting his sea legs.
I hope it's not a test of wills. Joe should have already decided what he will trade and not budge from that. It's far from a sure thing that trading the 7th pick will be a good idea after a few years.
Well it seems he's a much different negotiator when he's the buyer because all of the rumors were that Detroit was demanding two firsts for Grant, then we had to have that late lotto pick for him and finally we gave them the Bucks 2025 first and some seconds that teams can buy for cash on the night of the draft.
Really? A player other than Bledsoe? You wouldn't consider dealing Blevins (I assume he's a FA and can't be dealt, so just consider the green font).
