it was a lucky shot, the spurs need to man up and face the loss. oh no, he made a three with no time left........
It wasn't a sure thing like Lillard's dunk. I have no problem with it, whether it's on my team or not. It's a low % shot that happened to go in. After the game in the locker room he said "I want to apologize to the Spurs organization, that's not me. That'd bad form. So I want to apologize" (That's the jist of it, not word for word... it was on the radio show after the game)
Casey Holdahl @CHold SMH. WHO GIVES A SHIT? Let the guy play. That shot is what makes Nic, Nic. He takes awkward shots, makes awkward passes, and contributes in every way possible. Hell, I think a great comparison for the guy is Manu when he was younger. Dude made some boneheaded plays, but they were winning plays, and Pop never let him change.
Great picture. In the case of Dame, he could've been fouled intentionally so he might as well dunk. In the case of Batum, he didn't go to the line and tee up a shot. He just threw it up nonchalantly from 32 feet.
I kinda like it. You don't want it to happen? Play defense until the buzzer sounds. I also think Nic did it just as much for the fans and his teammates as for himself. He wasn't chasing a trip/doub even though it was within his reach - but his teammates were wanting him to get it. Reminds me of when Telfair shot a 3 as the clock was playing out so that we could hit 100 points and get chalupas.
It looked like Damian gave the ball to Nic so that if they fouled him, Nic could get his triple double. SA had after all just called a time out. So when Nic gets the ball and they don't guard him he really looked like he didn't know what to do, so he just threw the ball up. It's not like he streaked down the court to make sure he got the trip-dub.
Ya I thought that was pretty stupid of Batum. He has done that before and he got told not to do it again. All you guys saying it was OK are just blazers homers and if it was any other player on any other team I'm sure you would be talking a different tune. That was all about himself & his stats, not his team. I'm not a fan of stat padding.
This is a good troll attempt. I'm proud of you. I'll just say this, and then it will be over: You don't make a 40 ft shot 100% of the time. But go on ahead if delusion keeps you warm at night.
I'm a bit disappointed that Nic is actually apologizing for playing the entire game. I liked it, even though it was BS and against NBA protocol.
It was practically an accident. He needs to apologize to give the lip service, but I'm glad he got the triple-double too.
