Okay, I've looked all over youtube and I can't find any extended clips of Butler. It's so strange that now, in the year 2011, we have endless reams of our twenty year old pick from Spain and nothing from a senior prospect in the Big East. College basketball is bizarre. It supposedly has higher ratings than the NBA but it doesn't feel like it has a fanbase of substance outside of a few legacy programs. In other news, KC is reporting that Mirotic has four years left on his contract. I think that's as close to a definitive source as we're going to have, unless someone from the franchise actually speaks on the topic.
He reminds me of Ronnie Brewer on defense. Liked that video. Butler looks like he could step in and play 15 minutes for us pretty easily next season if someone gets traded. Watching that video re-affirmed the suspicions I had about Brooks. Despite what his combine measurements say, he just doesn't play with a huge amount of athleticism. He doesn't have the physical ability to score the way he did in college, and doesn't look ready to change his game. I'm glad we passed.
