58 is a stretch. My 52 might even be. The same way we have been pulling out wins from the clutch of defeat, I'm sure we will give up a few we should have won. It's a LONG season, and we are so young. I'm pumped though!

OK, I've been moved off of my 46 win prediction ... I'm going all the way up to 50!! Pretty impressive eh?

I guess I was kind of right and kind of wrong. I might want to bump up my prediction to 50, given the tough schedule thus far. But I'll reserve judgment until this 5-gamer is over.

Before today's game Mike Barret said we were on pace for a 53 win season. I think we'll exceed that. This blazer team still isn't firing on all cylinders yet. Not even close.

This team is definitely capable of winning 55+ games. We're still really young though. I'm interested in seeing how we respond to the addition of Martell Webster.

Denver is playing really well though. Chauncey Billups' stock just went up quite a bit in my book. He has turned that team around.

As many Laker fans will tell you, Championships are won in June, not November.

In a 7 game series I don't think its inconceivable that the Blazers could beat the Lakers, especially if Oden keeps improving and everyone else stays healthy.

I agree. And I don't think the Celtics have a chance against the Lakers if Bynum is healthy.

Very few people are talking about the Blazers winning it all this year, we're just excited and a bit surprised at how well they're playing thus far.

I was indicating that it's too early to crown the Lakers (or anyone) as champs or contenders.

rocketeer (first page) got everything right (if you consider tying for best record first in the division).

He also thinks we're winning the title. O_O

to be fair, had i known webster wouldn't play all year, oden would get hurt, blake would get hurt, and that bayless would never really become part of the rotation i would have had the blazers with fewer wins.

pretty impressive that they met my expectations even with all those things happening.

and i still think the championship is doable, especially with how the blazers are playing going into the postseason.

Ok, I was 2 off, but not to bad. I originally posted it on BBF and I think I said then that we might win one or two more that what I predicted. Easy to say that now, who's going to look it up? :)
