We picked up a used 2006 F150 with 88k miles (for a few grand less than kbb says on a private sale) a year ago for home projects, the coast, bad weather, etc. I’m not a Ford person, but it’s a fantastic truck. There’s a reason it’s the world’s #1 selling truck.
The Titan diesel is what I'd get. Its basically a 5/8 ton, so towing is great. If you have to have gas, then buy the Ford with the eco boost engine.
