Always? That's just a dumb statement.

It's been on this one subject. And quite honestly, I question the intelligence of anyone that honestly believed there was a real chance OKC wouldn't match.

If I had multiple people tell me I'm wrong, why is it wrong to respond back with "I was correct"?

More minutes for our crap players. Maybe one of them becomes average.

Exactly. PJ doesn't move the needle.

Kanter does, at least when you're trying to send a message to your team's superstars.

I think that this will turn out to be one of those deals like Turkolu and Hibbert; where we are relieved we didn't get them. I am hoping that somehow Olshey knew all along they would match and that this is part of his plan to get either Durant , Ibaka or Westbrook some day in the future.

Lol, I don't think we get any of them. But it does fuck OKC quite a bit. Which I love.

Maybe Ibaka will be available. Idk.

Depends, IMO. Were they saying, "Your wrong, they won't match," or was it more, "Nothing's guaranteed; there's always a chance"? If it was the former, gloat away; if the latter, then it's pretty weak.

No point in re-hashing. But was staunchly of the former from the time we signed him to an offer sheet.

The trade for Harkless is solid, but disappoints me that I'd think it'd say we aren't pursuing McDaniels (that and dealing with RFA's is a pain in the rear). But, we are in asset-acquisition mode.

Gloating is lame. Just nice to see Woj's reports - it's called validation.

People who don't dream about what might be possible probably don't have much good happen. I don't think the single case of Aldridge tells us much about who might end up in Portland.

Useless for adding top tier FA's, but cap space brought us Davis, Aminu, Harkless, and almost Kanter. That's a hell of a bench on a good team. Cap space can be beneficial if a team like ours has players already

And now we're back to having 20+ million in cap room ...
