Hey, Here we can discuss any news on CB(Chicago Blackhawks). So this team has been dismantled partially due to their cap issues, with the departure of big Buff(Byfuglien) and others will this team once again participate in the SCF this season?
Re: CB:Regular season thread I would say no,why you may ask.Well because I think Byfuglien was the key/main factor in the CB winning the cup,he scored 3/4 game winners in the sweep of the Sharks, eventually winning the Blackhawks the cup.He also created havoc with the Canucks with his big body presence, and thats going to be missed in CB this season.
Re: CHI:Regular season thread I completely disagree with everyone saying Byfuglien was the best on the team... If you look at the players, the orginization only brought in 4 players outside. Mostly from Toronto and Edmonton.... Everyone else has played with eachother somewhere in the organization. Either in Rockford or Chicago, and some have played on other teams together.
Re: CHI:Regular season thread Byfuglien was only good in the playoffs... He sucked in the regular season.
Re: CHI:Regular season thread Better late than never,if he brings that to the Thrashers into the Regular season, the Thrashers could improve greatly.
Re: CHI:Regular season thread Lineup Toews, Sharp, Keith, Hendry, Bickel, and Boyton only Blackhawks from last season who are playing now.
Re: CHI:Regular season thread Turco played decently. The goal that went in was an equal effort of fail for him and Cullimore(sp). Who will play next?!
Re: CHI:Regular season thread Toivonen in place of Turo.. Guess what number hes wearing? Twitter "ESPNChiHawks: goalie change...how dare toivonen wear 33"
Re: CHI:Regular season thread First fight of the year, Nick Boyton. Hell yeah... I miss the Ice Girls, btw. Second with Dowell, but nothing good occured. 2-1 Lightning.
Re: CHI:Regular season thread Blackhawks end the preseason with a win against the Blues... The Hawks open the season in Denver against the Avalanche. Go Hawks!
Re: CHI:Regular season thread Lines around out, I think they are official. L Wing----Center----R Wing Kopecky - Toews - Hossa Brouwer - Sharp - Kane Stalberg - Bolland - Pisani Bickell - Dowell - Skille L Defense - R Defense Keith - Seabrook Hjalmarsson - Campbell Scott - Boyton Goalies Turco Crawford Offensive Notes: Interesting to see Kane split up from Toews. Hope it works. Kane and Sharp played very well on the same line, as well as Brouwer did with both. Kop and Hoss are a great team, with a great center. I'm not to sure about the third line. Wounder how Bolland will do with the new guys. Fourth line is completely new to most. I know this line from the AHL. All three were in Rockford last year. I am surprised Morin didn't make the lineup. He is in Rockford now. Potulny is a backup. Defensive Notes: Keith and Seabrook are the top pair, I think they are one of the bests in the league. Hammer and Soupy are a good second line. Leddy will play on the second line untill Soupy is healed. Third line is filled with vets and hard hitters, Boyton and Scott. Hendry and Cullimore are backups. Goalie Notes: Turco will be fun to watch in net. Will miss Niemi a bit, but I will not care about him anymore after a few wins with Turco. Crawford has been in the organization for a long time, lets see how he does behind Turco. Huet is on loan to another team in Switzerland, good riddance.
