I agree that we won't trade McCollum until after Olshey is fired. I choose to complain about it, in order to accelerate his firing so the team can progress. Sure, I'm trying to move a boulder. But public opinion won't change if no one reminds status quo conformists of the truth: The Blazers have hit their ceiling because of an incompetent GM. To compensate, you spend all day making up trades and posting other filler. You waste your breath on that, while I waste mine reminding you why you're wasting yours.
For any team, Chemistry is everything. The one player that will never be part of a trade package would be Dame. Stotts is here for 18-19 because he wasn't fired two minutes after game 4 but a CJ trade is a potential idea that cannot be dismissed (unfortunately) .
What more substance does he need to provide... the Blazers got swept in the playoffs by a mediocre Pelicans team without Cousins, going down 15+ points in 3 of 4 games, finished dead last in assist and fast break points, and had a .500 record out side of the fluke win streak while playing teams with their best player out... all of that with a full training camp together and one of the healthiest teams in the league... what more substance do you need that McLillard doesn’t work?!... he is simply reminding fans of facts that Neil is trying to sweep under the rug!
Probably one of the dumbest things I’ve ever read on this board, don’t even need to respond, I just wanted to congratulate you.
So we failed in playoffs. Could be for a myriad of reasons. But you jump to McLillard not working when there's no actual connection between that and our failures... Why does McLillard not work? Defense? We were top 10. Offense? Both play just as well off the ball, just don't do it enough (Stotts). ...?
