Well, there you have it. In addition to toting the luggage to and from the plane they can park the cars at the practice facility.
No, why not? He'd make a great backup to CJ. The guy's a lights out long ball shooter and two inches taller than CJ. He's also got hustle up the ying yang. My only concern would be how much money he'd want.
Blake is an asshole, but I wonder if getting traded and then missing the playoffs has humbled him at all. I also wonder if playing with a strong leader, like Dame will keep him in line, or if paying for a player's coach like Stotts will cause him to revert to his previous level of assholeness. Still, he would give us a legitimate Big 3. In addition to his scoring he's also a very good ball handler and a great passer for his size/position. Having a big man who can handle the ball and pass like he can would prevent teams from killing our offense at the point of attack by swarming Dame. The guy averaged 6.2 APG in his half season in DET. To put that in perspective, that's almost as many APG as Dame (6.6) and more than C.J. and Turner combined (5.6). And this is from a power forward. That would certainly go a long way toward helping us avoid being last in the league in assists again. It would also give us that reliable third scoring threat we have been lacking for years. If you're going to be paying tax anyway, might as well go all in. Injury history and general douchery are the only red flags. Have a team of INDEPENDENT doctors examine his heath records, and if they give him the thumbs up, go for it. BNM
Any explanation you want to attach to that? Or is this simply a pronouncement from our moderator that we must not question? I'm flexible.
Rome wasn't built in a day. You keep adding pieces that makes the team better but the Pelicans are already beatable as one bad series doesn't define the future either.. In two years the team should be in a better financial place and possibly more flexibility to keep building. Hopefully while we keep building the Rockets and Warriors will be sliding.
I'd rather bring in young talent that has the possibility to develop into a tradable asset or to allow us to trade someone else than bring in a player at the end of their career that is only going to get worse. I also remember @HCP saying something about how Wes was kind of an ass the last year he was here.
Plus, we only have one Evan Turner and we're trading him for Blake Griffin. I never thought I'd say it, but with all the trades being proposed here, I almost wish we had more than one Evan Turner. BNM
I've never heard that part about Wes being an asshole. Now my visage is ruined. I pictured him totally different due to the fact he was such a fan favorite.
Fan favorite doesn't necessarily == great teammate. My daughter met him once at a Jesuit football game and said he was great, super friendly with all the people sitting around him. But again, that's in a social setting not a work environment. BNM
I'm saying I have no idea how he is to work with other than what I see during a game. I'm also going on record that I'll trust managements judgement because they certainly have a better idea than me about what kind of person he is. I'd like to add that no person of bad character will get Paul Allen's approval based on what our past GM, Pritchard, told several of us a few years back. I'd also like to add that his is just fine with me. I don't want anyone who has an overall bad character.
It's this aspect of his game that makes me willing to turn a blind eye to his personality and contract.
The problem is, there is only one team in the league that was willing to accept that contract, and they've already done so. If we had another Allen Crabbe, I'm afraid we'd be stuck with him. He seems like a good guy, but completely 1-dimensional and way, WAY, WAY overpaid for what he brings (weak defending spot up shooter who can't create for himself or others). BNM
