I would trade for Melo, even though he's been a shade of his former self, for the chance he refinds his love and enjoyment of the game outside NY.
It would be very low cost compared to Melo's value a few years ago so I think it's worth the chance.

Of course Vonleh isn't the starting PF I would want with this team but he could maybe be a solid fit being a decent defender (which would be a weakness) and a player that works for others (setting screens etc) and doesn't need the ball.

Back to the topic, trading for Melo could seem crazy. He's been washed out for so long. But knowing Phil Jackson wants him out (which I understand) we could get him cheap and maybe be able to conform him and get him back to being a positive basketball player, which he hasn't been with the Knicks.
It's a bold move but if I'm the GM I'd do it

If Melo could be Olympics Melo on our team, that would be awesome, but...probably not gonna happen.

How about Melo and O' Quinn for Leonard and Turner. I think those are two players Jackson might like. They can give us their pick #44 also.

Anything theoretically of value for Turner and Leonard would be an absolute steal.

I would do Turner, Leonard, Harkless, #26, and rights to to Diez for Melo and Noah. Noah may not be very good but would be alright as Nurk's backup. Then 15 would 100% have to be used on best big available and 20 on best defender available.

Carmelo's decline isn't due to him not "enjoying the game anymore".

He's almost 33. He's declining. Its not gonna change.

Noah is a worse contract than Turner, and Moe, Leonard, and 26 for Melo is not a good move IMO.
